It didn't work for me at first, but at another mod (More Carry Weight mod) the user Dazaster commented:
"To get this to work after an update, simply open it with notepad. Near the top you'll see a range of #'s across the top. Delete one, then press # to add it back. Save the file and you're done. This is because the game reads the internal date on the file and as it's before the updates date the game won't use it. So doing this and saving it changes the date to after the updates date."
And this worked for me here as well. Therefore I thought, I just leave this here, as it might help others as well. (As one user couldn't find the #: it doesn't have to be a #, can be any letter, it's only important to add it back.)
So the mod does work, right off the bat, installed via Vortex.
I would like to make it a little longer. I have a bad habit of hitting A on my controller and leaping back instead of looting.
Looking in \GreedFall\datalocal\items at items_autogen_equipements.sli. I have changed the xml version to 1.1 just in case but the "delayinseconds" does not occur anywhere in that file. Where should I be looking for it?
hasn't worked for me yet. instant transitions after each fight, even if replaying the fight after initialing winning. checked the delayinSeconds and it's set to 16 for both. should be fine, but i guess something is broken now?
edit: ooook... so it after exiting the arena and the game, then going back in, the retry fights now give me a lot of extra time to loot enemies. it seems to work, as long as you exit arena and exit the game after fighting and installing? idk. very odd.
I hope this helps someone, if you wanna change the value you have to find "delayInSeconds=" and change the value after = for any value you want, it's 2 values you can change, one is for low lvl arena and the other one for high lvl
Havent tried it yet but people are saying if you open up the SLI files and change xml version="1.0" to 1.1 it fixes alot of mods.
Edit: I have tested it and it works! If a mod is broken open up the file and edit that line. Its usually at the top for 1.1. They clearly must be using new xml file so obviously the mod wont be changing the correct files in game. Once I changed that line to 1.1 it works :) Try it on any other broken mod. Such an obvious reason to why it broke.
How? I did the same with changing all the SLI files to 1.1 and the SQG file that this mod was in, the arena still immediately brought the party back to the platform near the Arena master, you sure it still works?
Hmm, Are you sure you modified the right file? For this mod you are wanting to modify sqge01_arena.sqg . Just open that file with an editor and change the xml file version to 1.1
This is not working for me, I haven't updated my game yet so it's not the patch, every other mod I have works fine, but this one just instantly send me to the arena NPC once I'm done killing the last mob.
Edit: So it seems that it works if I go back and redo the challenges, but if you are still doing them in the main questline it doesn't work.
There appear to be two instances of timerName="Fight_Win_Arena_Delay" in the file. One of them is set to 1. Increasing both of them to the desired value worked for me on initial playthrough in addition to repeat plays.
Nice idea, I know they only drop trash loot, but it always annoyed me not been able to pick it up. I usually tend to pick up all the flowers I see on my way even when I propose myself to not do it...
If you'd like to increase the time just search the file for "Fight_Win_Arena_Delay" at line 189 and adjust "delayInSeconds="16" to whatever you desire. I chose 16 because it's a good compromise between extra time and speed.
If you're playing on keyboard, if you weren't aware already, you can either quickly keep pressing "E", or press "Q" to take all (the controller should have a "take all" button too, right? There's enough time to get all the loot from the largest mob if you're quick. But I figured in case people are fighting 1 or 2 enemy mobs, they would get impatient if the delay was too long.

I don't have the game installed any longer, so I hope this works! ;)

Any assistance?

Or are we supposed to change something else?
THANKS!
