I have mod slot support installed and it still won't work for me. Installed both this and the prerequisite mod with Vortex Mod Manager and pressing "u" does nothing. What am I missing?
EDIT: There is a conflict with either "Sheathe - Both Weapons" mod or "Camera overhaul - FOV slider" mod. It worked again after I disabled them both. I will test out now which one it was.
EDIT 2: It's Sheathe - your mod and sheathe clash with each other.
...\GreedFall\datalocal\datalocal\!ModSlotSupport ...\GreedFall\datalocal\datalocal\#map_naywhere : Then it may be a Vortex issue. I don't normally use Vortex, so let me know. I can re-release all the mods without datalocal in the root if that is causing Vortex to vomit (or disable Vortex support).
Hi, I didn't use vortex; installed the mod slot support, ran the updatemods.exe and no conflicts. In the datalocal directory. I did not create an additional datalocal directory iykwim. My directory looks like this: https://ibb.co.com/w4q19k8
Since I peaked into the globalsettings.sli file using notepad, it won't turn back to white again; remains in notepad style.
I started the game with de vespe dlc installed. So, the saved games in serene all account for that. I uninstalled the dlc, entered the game, but the game after that does not allow me to load my saved games because it requires the DLC :| So, I tried to re-install the de vespe consipracy.
Anyone knows why I can't not use fast travel except from the caravan. As a result, I can only travel within the three main cities. Is it because of this mod?
I had the same problem. Do you have per chance the mod Romance Enhancer installed? For me that was the culprit. As soon as I deinstalled it, the map and fast travelling worked like a charm.
I don't have the romance enhancer installed but copy pasted the romance hints in the datalocal folder. Is that a problem? My map anywhere does not work.
EDIT: It did not work. This is how my folder looks like: https://ibb.co.com/w4q19k8 Please see if the files are in order. :(
Hi there, hope you are well, will the map anywhere work if it also has other mod files in the datalocal folder? I am a newbie when it comes to mod, so please tell me step by step.
So, the three files that are in the extract file, I copy pasted them in the datalocal folder. So, along with !ModSlotSupport (folder), there is also 'mod_slot_0' (file) and the 'updatemods.exe' (file) inside the data local folder. Also, then I copy pasted the #map_anywhere (folder) in the datalocal folder.
Out of curiosity I pressed the updatemods.exe file and it verified that some of the other mods such as romance hints and extra inventory space mods are also working ok and no conflict detected. Please advice. I bound my MAP to M and extended map to "," (comma key).
I seem to have stumbled upon a way to make this mod work with the De Vespe Conspiracy (i.e. I am able to continue using the fast travel map without crashing after starting the DLC).
However I am not 100% able to confirm this, because by default Map Anywhere doesn't work with my existing mod configuration (could be a conflict with Sheathe or Quick Loot, or because I'm also using Luciferi's unofficial update for Naut-E Wares). Whatever the reason, Greedfall is refusing to load the SLI file that adds the custom keybind needed to open the fast travel map.
So I did the same thing mentioned in one of the earliest posts. I opened "map_anywhere.sqg" and changed the "EXPLORE_ZOOM" entries to a different function that is bindable ingame. For practical reasons I decided to go with "SWITCH_TO_NOR_KEYBOARD", which the SLI file told me is the Sheathe key. This did indeed bypass the SLI issue and allowed me to use the fast travel anywhere map.
As I was testing this, I realised I had loaded a save where I'd already completed the De Vespe Conspiracy, and bringing up the map wasn't crashing my game! After some further testing, I was able to establish that the fast travel map doesn't work within the Flaming Flood DLC zone itself, however I can safely bring up the map and travel to the DLC zone from anywhere else. I even went back and loaded the save I made right before reading the De Vespe letter and went through the process of re-unlocking the zone with this mod active, constantly opening the fast travel map to see if I could get it to crash at any point. The answer was no, it seems to cause no issues while unlocking or progressing the DLC.
As I said before the most likely reason it doesn't crash for me is that I'm using the Gold Edition version of Mod Slot Support. It would make sense given Map Anywhere's reliance on Mod Slot Support, and the fact that the crash only starts happening once the DLC zone gets added to the map.
However because I can't get the "vanilla" version of Map Anywhere to work, I can't personally rule out some issue with the SLI file (I would need to disable all my other mods to test this mod properly, but doing so would break most of my save files, preventing me from testing if it works post-DLC). So that's why I've added the explanation of the changes I made to this mod to be able to open the map, just in case it's contributing to why it's not crashing for me.
does this mod glitch out the De Vespe Conspiracy? And if so can/how do I "turn it off" for the mod? I've already gone through and deleted files like that before and now I need to replay the damn game.

Edit: nvm I fixed it and here how it's simple so open the file named inputs_explore_fight it's in the #map_anywhere folder
and delete the line

This mod is working fine before you start DLC Vespe Conspiracy - after starting it pressing button U is causing immediate crash to desktop.
After finishing that DLC the problem is still there.

My strong suspicion is that it's because I am using the Mod Slot Support UNOFFICIAL Update v3.02 - Gold Edition & DLC

don't forget to run updatemods after you add a new mod.
