for the love of god can someone post a video or something on how to mod this game cant find the directory's for these mods the old gta sa was so easy to mod
Heya! Yes. It's a little confusing at first. It depends on which game you're modding somewhat. I'm assuming GTA San Andreas. But you'll have to go to the folder the game was installed at and find another folder called gameface etc. It will look something similar to this.. ( C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\GTA San Andreas - Definitive Edition\Gameface\Content\Paks\~mods ) I actually had to create a ~mods folder because it didn't exist at first. Check out that Readme file in the mod folder you download. Usually good mod creators will include those and this one did.
In the readme notepad it should say this...
1) Place .pak file in Gameface\Content\Paks\~mods (create an empty ~mods folder if it doesn't exist) 2) Enjoy -Anon2971
At first I had thought to create just a normal "mods" folder and it turned out I had to name it exactly "~mods." It's confusing at first but I hope this helps you.
Thanks for all the comments and feedback so far guys! I'm waiting to see to what extent Rockstar fixes the broken mess that is this Definitive Edition. When they've done their job I might consider making this reticle mod more complex in implementation, but for now it does what it's supposed to do. Hope you continue enjoying this mod the way I have been :)
I've been looking for a way to mod the GTA 3 version of the game to swap out that giant aiming reticle for the m16 and replace it with the AK47 one so it's not taking up my entire screen. I'm not sure why Rockstar did that with the M16. It aims like a sniper rifle and that drives me nuts lol. Do you have any tips for that? Thanks!
Practically invisible in GTA SA, disappointing. The aiming reticule dot is very small and the color of the dot is also not pure white and gets lost when aiming around the roads or in front of gray backgrounds.
Needs a bigger dot with a clearer and more pure white color that is easily visible.
Thank you for the feedback on the size. I've just realised the SA dot size matches the original reticle, but it's actually half the size of the Vice City and GTA 3 dot reticles. SA renders it's reticle in a different, repeating format and the dot is difficult to see with the ring removed. I'll double the SA reticle size ASAP which should pretty much solve the problem.
