wanted to send you the textures, but I couldn't find a way to do it, so I just attached the images to your mod for you to notice!Fallen trees have very low texture found almost everywhere in forests myrtana! Also in Ardea, the wooden fence has low quality textures. In the area of the trellis, in the forests there are trees with "Dolmatian" spots, which also have low textures. Even in the trellis itself, the drum with a skull also has low quality textures.Your mod is a breath of fresh air for us!Can you increase the quality of textures that are low resolution? And will there be a fix for all armor textures in Gothic 3 in the future? This would be a texture mod of a universal scale in Gothic 3!💓💓💓

Greetings, dear modders!Your contribution to Gothic 3 is simply invaluable, I play with your textures and am extremely grateful to you for this, you are the best!!!
I appreciate your input and hard work, your textures are simply gorgeous.
But during my playthrough of Gothic 3 (I’m playing through it now), I discovered several original, blurry textures with very low resolution!

Mod doesn't seem to work. I unpacked HD rework and texture fix into data folder, to no effect. Also there's no _compiledimage.mod file in those 2 files.

It looks like u did something wrong. Just tested it and works perfectly.
It has to look like this.

HD rework and texture fix only contain _compiledImage.m00 and _compiledImage.p01. Obviously it's not enough to the folder look like you describe. It appears you have other mods installed? Is there a way to make the texture mod work without them?

So u didn't read the description(?) Read it and follow the installion method. My mod requires the whole remastering process.

There is a mod starter for gothic 3 and could you make a version of this texturepck that could be installed in the mod starter? Here is the link to the mod starter.     https://www.gamepressure.com/download.asp?ID=82263

I think I don't need to create a specific version for that. Rather the author of the mod starter could add my mod into the mod starter pack.
But u still can just dl it from here and extract copy paste to ur folder, this isn't that much effort. :D

Hi! I've got a question: Can I delete the textures of the Community Patch manually after the installation too and replace it with this mod then?

Hello! This is very beautiful retexture you have a lot of talent!
Can you change also the textures of buildings to be like the ones from Gothic 2? I mean those who looked more like "late medieval" color white from the Upper Quarters of Khorinis

I know it sounds strange and difficult but I ask you anyway, would it be possible for you to rebuild the city of Vengard and adding a harbour with the textures of building from Gothic 2? (just a dream for me since always)

      Hello, thank u :)

The problem with ur request is that u cant edit textures like 1 by 1. I highly respect the creators of the game, this is the best rpg series. (Gothic 1-2-3) But they were lazy in some way. I can edit textures only in groups, so if I change the wood wall texture of the wood buildings to a stone like texture, then EVERY wood building in the game will be stone like.
Khorinis was a more "peaceful" land and the city was an actual real city. If u check the lore of gothic3 there was an orc war n they lost it. The smaller cities r more like camps. The bigger ones have castles n stone buildings. When a war is going on in ur land u dont have time n resource to build houses of stone in every small city or camp. And I dont want to make a gothic2 copy paste. I wanted to keep the original gothic3 feeling n style. Thats y I didnt change some of the original textures either like the sand in varant, some ground n rock textures etc. Just remastered the ugliest ones n those were too low.res.

But I still didnt finish it, replaying the whole game n walking trough the whole world checking every corner n remastering it in the same time if I find something that I can rebuild better. Maybe at the end I will remaster everything but it takes so much time cuz many of my textures r unique n handmade (by myself).
Plus I cant add models to the game just editing textures, so cant make a harbour in vengard. Anyway Vengard lost the war so that city is ruined by orcs. But u've right, a harbour is missing cuz if there isnt any then how they kept contact with Khorinis for example.

Theres a mod named lively towns. They made a dock next to ardea n made more living towns but its not compatible with every mod n only available on polish n russian lang.

I understand your point, yes the war has destroyed Myrtana so it’s possibile that much could be destroyed because of many battles and sieges.

Yes if you change the wood material all wood huts in game will change. It’s just somehow that Gothic 3 doesn’t feel like a continuation of Gothic 2 at all in terms of design. Gothic 2 seems to be “late medieval” building design while Gothic 3 seems to be “very early medieval” building design, like early Saxon England for example. That somewhat felt very out of immersion. For example in gothic 2 you even had cannons on the bastions of Khorinis while in 3 there aren’t even trebuchets and catapults…

I wonder if you could make an optional texture file for huts and buildings with the colors of Gothic 2 (white “late medieval”), so that maybe nostalgic players like me could finally enjoy a much more immersive experience in gothic 3 as a continuation of gothic 2. Just an optional file, so that you can chose to keep the vanilla colors or to download the nostalgic ones of gothic 2

Yep I can agree with ur point too.
According to the story the land of g3 was the "mainland" so it makes sense u can find older buildings there.
Many times I was thinking on the timeline n that's a complete mess up. g2 is a time bubble, g3 is closer to g1 than g2.
The evolution of the wild animals and beasts r continuous. For example there r no birds yet in the game but theres the scavenger, a half dinolike birdlike creature. In g1 n g2 its more dinolike, in g3 its more birdlike. The orcs in g1 r more monkeylike but smarter, learning the human language, in g2 they learned strategy in combat, in g3 they already socialized which makes no sense cuz the war was already going on when u were in the colony.
There r more huge paradoxes also in the games; in g3: domesticated chicken... before any living bird. In g2 (as u mentioned) cannons... that means they have gunpowder already but there wasnt any gun in the game... pirates still without guns but magic. (thats y I never liked the gold edition, the maya thing is good but the pirate line messes it up). And every road or path looks like in g2 they transported goods with chariots but there r still no horses. Only human power?
The way how I can imagine the ages of the games is like g1 around 800-1000, g2 1200-1400, g3 1000-1200 but magic is still a real thing and u living with dinosaurs trolls dragons n orcs. If u want to think about the atmosphere of the game not just a fantasy but a more real thing then it had to happen way more earlier than our historical timeline. If it was on Earth at all or rather in an alternative universe(?).
If u look at the evolution n culture hundreds of years had to be passed between the games, but in the playtrough and story u do it in weeks or months.
Every1 likes better g2 cuz of its unique feeling but in my opinion thats the game what doesnt fit in the timeline.
Maybe it would be different if they finish the game before they release it, both g2 n g3. During the playtrough u can see the empty/missing content parts of the game not just in g3 even in g2 as well.

Answering to ur question: yep I can try to make an optional timemachine file where every houses were made from stones but then I have to remaster the beds too with textile texture. Maybe it worths a shot.

That is the point it seems like Gothic 2 has such a design that doesn’t fit at all with Gothic 1 and 3. It’s like if they went with Anglo Saxon/Viking Age England with the first and third game. While in the second game they went for a late medieval France or Italy? It is so weird. It is clear that the developers had no time because of Jowood to complete the game itself but at this point I rather think that probably they also had no idea of what they were doing for design choices…
Yeah a Continent with no horses makes no sense especially with all those chariots all around… it didn’t make much sense on Khorinis either but I understand the technical limitations of 20 years ago…
And we didn’t talk about armors… in gothic 3 vanilla with no content mod 3.1 almost all armors were s#*!, no helmets at all on any NPCs… very few weapons and shields… I mean and on level scale G3 is set on a very big Continent you would expect a huge variety in cultures, equipments and structures. But nothing of that came to be unfortunately for us fans. Gothic 3 was a broken dream and somehow it is still now after all these years.

For beds look to Lively Towns Mod, the developer of that mod retextured almost all the beds in game to be more like Gothic 2 and I believe the author took also some textures from Arcania, I don’t know if this information may help you
But despite those nice beds’ retextures great buildings like taverns, warehouses, town halls etc… still remain all in brown wood instead of “white” like they were in the previous Gothic 2
I kinda imagined the cities of Myrtana to have the same “ whitish” colors of Khorinis (and Archolos too)

Ok thx 4 the info, maybe somehow I can import them.
Looks like u r rly addicted to those white walls XD
I love the artstlye of g3. That's the point when the progression can start and the humans can develop to a higher level (like reaching g2's age)
I'd love that if they would continue the story with gothic 4.... the way to the unknown lands according to ur choices... but that would be a more more complex game so I can understand they ended it and never made it. (unfortunately there was a fkup also between the creators n the publisher, they split thats y arcania became a supid limited linear game nothing but graphics... n risen was born with good content...)
But imagine... Myrtana lost the war... u r the hero who can save them n u do. After u killed all the orcs humans can evolve. The unknown lands should contain some surprises. Maybe new magic and/or enemies. Maybe portals to other dimensions where the sleeper came from. Some backstory with the gods etc.
btw I've made a unique g2 retexture pack also but thats 4,5gb... maybe a day I'll upload that too.

Yes I feel the same as u, g3 was a lil disappointment when it came out.
If I look at risen what is the content of the game: 3 factions again... small area... familiar g1 elements... that game was boring for me already before I could play trough. Felt like a g1 copy. Never ever finished it n couldnt play with the series either.
I guess the creators made the perfect game for the 1st n 2nd time then they never could reach that level again.

If you create new textures in general I could use them in the movie series of Gothic 3 that I’m making (links down below) giving you credit in the videos

I’m basically creating a tv series in episodes in English with new voices and dialogues to improve the original story of the game. I’m adding complexity to the game world in general, in the lore and in the characters. And obviously I’m using all available improved textures and mods to add objects, weapons, helmets etc… so to improve also the visuals, and damn your castle walls and roofs, city grounds and Varant and Nordmar buildings look AMAZING! If only Myrtana would look more like Khorinis it would be perfect

Here I leave this link to my YouTube channel if you want to look to what I’m trying to do with Gothic 3, it is not perfect but I’m trying my best to fix the story and the lore:

      Well ty :)
I can try it but some of the houses have straw/hay roofs and/or holes on or under the roof. Those would look awful with solid brick/stone walls.
If I can edit only those houses with tile on the roof then I try it. But if the lazy developers made this impossible by using the same wood texture for all the houses then I drop it.
Damn I can see how many hrs u have in those movies. Nice work! Maybe u should make shorter episodes, they r quite long.

Yes you are right! When I edited all the clips for the montage I didn’t expect them to be so long dammit! Especially the episode 2 people will feel discouraged to watch it because it’s five hours of new dialogues, battles and various new ideas and stuff. I just have this main plot of Gothic 3 in my mind since years and I’m trying to put in on screen and sometimes these kind of disasters happen, because I like to write a lot of dialogues

Next episodes I’m reducing and dividing in smaller parts with less hours

Episode 3 will be the Battle of Geldern
Episode 4 will be on the Demon of Gotha and Battle of Faring
Unfortunately for Episode 5 I need to wait for Community Story Project Vengard city rebuilt because the vanilla capital sucks it’s so bad that I don’t want to make even one scene with that crap honestly, it doesn’t look like a capital city at all there is not even an harbour lol, therefore I’m going to wait unless some chosen of Innos will release a mod with Vengard reconstructed in its entirety, or at least rebuilt after reconquering the city from the orcs
ps: Paladin Markus even said during the game that he was going to rebuild Vengard and then you go back there and everything is still in ruin lol! At least after few months, like if you sleep all days, the Capital should’ve appeared rebuilt and without barrier

1st uncheck "new myrtana textures" in cp 1.75, u don't need to install the new world textures cuz I'm using that pak file for base with my modded textures.
Then uncheck Prealpha textures, in cm 3.1, that file ruins some textures in the game's main texture file. (the other 2 options r g2 soundtrack n russian speech)
Any other option is up to u.
If u want to use my gui mod, that's only for cm's dark menu.
(I'm using new assassin armors and new mercenary armors too but not g2 citizen armors. I don't use any other gothic2 textures neither)
