About this mod

This mod is made based on GTR (GOTHIC TEXTURES REPLACER) for the game "G2 Returning: New Balance".

The purpose of this mod is to make the look of weapons and armor more "gothic", without huge swords, sledgehammers and other vertukhai...

The mod includes about 120 armor and weapon changes.

New shield models: mercenary shield, ancient shield, dragonborn shield, shield of the guardian of the dead, wooden shield, Nordmar shield, berserk shield (original NB);

Weapons:
1. Completely replaced sword and rapier models, mercenary axes, 2 dark knight swords
;2. Dexterous swords (pirate weapons and found from bosses);
3. Almost every bow and crossbow has a new model, hammers and two-handed hammers of the brotherhood guards have been replaced, more than 4 spears;
4. New models of non-Guildian one-handed/two-handed swords and axes/crushers (in short, everything Hakon talks about);
5. The staff of the fire mage remained as in NB and the judge without the stupid crystal;
6. New models for forged weapons;
7. Magical swords also got their novelties;
8. Duals and ranged weapons are almost entirely new;
9. Oroc weapons have been replaced and mixed;In short, almost all weapons are new

Third-party changes:
Removed GTR sounds;
Original look of health bottles and permanents;
Almost mana plants are taken from NB;
A lot of world textures and items were removed for bugs or incorrect placement;
The pack itself is noticeably lighter;New menu and loading screen (in a separate file);

The changes in the patch mainly concern edits to the models. Some helmets and armor prescribed an identical model, and to make everything look rank, many models prescribed their own new models. Necessary to avoid ridiculousness with models like converted knights in the armor of the dark knight for gg (with necks and fists)

The setting has not changed, so the information on the green background is current and will remain so.
What's new.
Armor:
1. Two completely new models (Armor of Light, dragon scale armor) + an improved model of the Thorus Guard armor;
2. The armor of Baron, Adept of Darkness, Great Sentinel, Armor of Blood, Warrior Beliar has undergone changes in textures, details and geometry;
3. Added a model for the knight’s ore armor (reforged), like the NPC’s, but with “fists” and without an attached chain mail hood, also the heavy armor of the dragon slayer now with “fists” + fixed a mesh error (forearm binding jamb, especially thrown during teleportation) ;
4. Improved textures for the armor of the demon hunter, guardsman, medium mercenary and copies of the dungeon;

Rest:

1. New model of the helmet of blood and the warrior of the architects (I apologize for the mistake in the screenshot, I accidentally called it ancient).
2. A new model for the guard’s shield, and Innos’s defender has also undergone a change in geometry (at least it has become smaller). The militia shield model moved to Alrik, and the former guard moved to the militia);
3. New weapon models! Rapier of Beliar and Diego (now it’s generally expensive, even if you hit him), Head Cutter and Lightning Bolt + blacksmith hammer, cutter and poker)
4. Fixed the textures of the poison jars and the cabinet (they flew out and did not stick)....
Separately, I want to talk about probably the most noticeable change - the new textures of the colony!I remade some of the textures to match the original look (forest, around the castle, main mountain textures), which is strikingly different from the look of the NB and GtR colony that was before. Some of the textures where the grass is intended, I made paths, so now you can navigate as the piranhas intended. The only negatives are that the texture of the grass at the orcs’ fence is angular, the roads do not always end and connect correctly, but, in my opinion, this is not as significant as the overall impression (but this is already a cost of the world of the Return colony, the replacer does not correct this. I made a couple screenshots, but the main impression, of course, can be obtained by playing it yourself.

ULTIMATE ARMOR and WEAPON REPLACER 4.0.

Not even a month ago, another major update has come up!
The biggest changes are the layout of the mod itself and its weight.
Installation will be duplicated on the front page.

Changes:
1). Archive contents:MENU UAWR is an optional file that contains the menu screen, save and load screens from UAWR LIGHT. Without it, the screens will be from NB.NB_OPTIONAL_ARMOR_PATCH is a patch containing features that allow you to wear helmets, capes, and crowns with some armor that didn't allow it (armor of darkness, hunter of the beast). Some people were very worried that they ran into such a significant advantage in their mod, therefore - the patch functions are now separate, and the part with the visuals is already in UAWR_BIG.UAWR_BIG - the main file (no content without it)))))
2). Armor and Robes:The robe of the priest of Adanos is now not duplicated (its own model), the robe of the fire mage (from the 3rd part), the robe of the orc naenik got its own model and no longer looks like a dress, the consecrated robe of the fire mage and Archimage got other texturesEr-Khazir's helmet is now less golden, the Priest's crown is back from GTR
The armor of the Great Sentinel received cool textures, the armor of the converted knight (the second power) was adjusted for the Gothic skeleton (in particular, the legs and boots suffered a lot) + at perekovannoy and cursed changed the texture, the armor of darkness became more suitable for the dexterous + scouts got their own set without shoulder pads (oh so much trouble with these sets).
3). 63 updated weapon models:Mostly redesigns of old models models (texture size), models of the original nb, as well as oroch weapons ( I adjusted the dimensions and length of the hilt to fit my mod on the NEW_FIGHT_ANIMATION (for NB) animations, be sure to check it out). 23 got new models. Fixed material errors in some swords.
4). Fixed textures and models without textures (some crates, pulpits, environment near Vatras).
5). The package is significantly lighter, and now lies in a single file. I tried to remove textures that were duplicated with textures NB (a lot of textures and models in the NB are taken from L'Hiver GTR). Also removed textures that were incorrectly superimposed, some models and textures were mixed to my own taste. It was possible to remove and more, but I have no desire to hurry with it (because few people need it, and things do not leave forces for such a heavy routine).

ULTIMATE ARMOR and WEAPON REPLACER 3.5

The update turned out to be very impressive and very nervous (probably the most nervous since the release version)...
Through broken archives and sleepless nights, we managed to fix many problems and make the mod even more gothic and diverse.Many things are integrated from our mod GOTHIC ARMOR AND WEAPON REBORN (a must have for the first Gothic and mods that do not change the codes of the original models)

The total number of new weapons is about 50 units and 10 changes in armor and robes + 5 new capesAlso, one of the users NERO_324 made the Beliar Claw duals the same length and we added them to the mod (thanks)I also wanted to warn you that I did not fulfill some wishes due to aesthetic reasons (the Armor of Darkness and Light remained unchanged, this was a personal wish)

Changes:
1). 4 new armor (dodge and steel self-forged) + the model of the Water Ring armor has been changed, the top version of the Dark Knight, the master thief is now without a hood, the bounty hunter now has the previous model of the water ring;
2). 5 out of 6 capes have undergone changes: the ore mask has been moved closer to the face, 4 new hood models);
3). The robe of the priest Adanos has its own model;

Many weapon changes:
1) New models for duals from the latest update, another Ancient Ax (for the water keeper) + new high-quality textures for mercenary axes in the style of the first Gothic;
2) 6 new orc guns (improved models of the first Gothic + retextures);
3) Several new models of maces and hammers (one of the unused ones, and the rest from our mod for the first Gothic);
4) The textures of some swords and hatchets have been changed;
5) New models for the spell weaver, as well as one-handed weapons in the style of the first Gothic;
6) The bow “Beliar’s Claw” has its own cool model);7) New model of the mercenary’s shield (otherwise some wrote about its resemblance to a door)));

Bugs, edits, etc.:
1). Some guns are positioned in space;
2). Helmets now fit more correctly on the head (taking into account the classic skeleton in NB, we had to twist the geometry and position in space);
3). Some buggy textures have been removed or assigned correctly;
4). Some broken static object models have been removed;
5). The weapon now hangs on the belt as in the original;
6). Removed alternative sounds;
7). The most important change: BLACK GLORCH has truly become BLACK!!!;Unfortunately, the update was delayed largely due to bugs with files and broken archives (save Innos), as well as some unrealized wishes. ULTIMATE ARMOR and WEAPON REPLACER 3.0.

Update 3.0 will be the final update for the full build (a lighter UAWR that includes only weapons and armor will be released in the long term).
New:
1. 2 sets of armor (Ancient Armor, Armor of the keeper of the balance (the one with shoulder pads)) + updated armor of the Royal Archer (he had raised leather plates on the deltas, that's what we fixed)
2. Several swords (militias, 2 swords of the guard, two-handed militia new, adjusted and updated 5 swords of Garad, Arurat, engraved sword, silver, Paladin two-handers, Dark reaper (now like a paladin GTR, but normal size), cross of elements + sword of the Mad Crusader)
3. New model of the Armor Destroyer (hammer), also increased the size of the bow Color of Death (it was narrow, but now just right)
4. New crossbows for demon hunters (recruit and hunter) + an updated patch is also included in the archive (there are changes purely for these two models so that they are in the game)
5. Changed the geometry and increased the quality of textures for already added crossbows (GTR + NB). Many high-level crossbows were too huge and with some model jambs - now they all look proportionate and neat))
6. They asked to remove the sounds of wolves - PROFIT!A REMINDER that if you are downloading the latest update, you do not need to download the patch separately (it is already included in the uploaded archive).
