Hello. Respected gothic modder. i have a question is it posible for you to upload gothic sequel armors to the game? thay look kinda cool in game and make it a mod that you can buy armor?
Installed the mod in first Chapter, before raiding tower. But doesn't work for me, there is just simple Bow, few Simple and few Fire arrows in the chest. Running L'Hiver English v1.6 + all the patches (Union Primary+Union 1.0m, Ninja v2.7.12). Couldn't find any info, but it feels like L'Hiver mod removes Fire Bow from that chest.
I'm sorry to hear that. My patch doesn't require starting a new game because it doesn't change either the Fire Bow's location on the map, or its item ID. It only modifies the bow's texture and its stats (a little bit) and adds new IDs for the upgraded versions, so it shouldn't be a problem for mods that don't change the vanilla Fire Bow's ID. I don't play L'Hiver, so I have no idea what that mod does to the Fire Bow but, as I remember, it shouldn't be inside the chest, it's supposed to be right next to it. The chest should only contain Fire Arrows, so L'Hiver must have either changed the Fire Bow's location, or removed it altogether. The only big expansion mod I tested my patch with is the Nostalgic Edition 2.1.7 and it works just fine, apart from a conflict with the textures of the weapons (we both used the same resource from the Modderdatenbank, unfortunately), so the problem isn't with my patch.
Yeah, no problem, mate. Gave it a test with console "cheating", spawned a bow, and now Bennet got an option to convert it into Crossbow, but can't do anything even though I have all materials needed for the conversion (I guess your mod scripts do not work properly, some of the L'hiver's is overriding everything) and no merchants got Fire Arrows on sale. So, idea is great and I really like it, but can't make it working in my setup)
I honestly don't know why it isn't working for you. To convert the bow into a crossbow you need to have the following items in your inventory: - the Fire Bow, the materials, 500 gold pieces AND the "Plan for crafting the Fire Crossbow" that Bennet gave you (the one that says "Don't lose it!" at the bottom of its inventory description). The plan is used in the condition that triggers the forging conversation. The "merchant" for fire arrows is Constantino. I decided that creating the fire ammo should be the result of an alchemical process. It's more fun and distinctive this way. When you have the Fire Bow, Constantino will have a new dialogue line that allows you to buy 100 Fire Arrows at a time, provided you have 100 normal arrows and 500 gold pieces in your inventory. There are other people that can create Fire Arrows, basically all NPCs that are near an alchemist's bench. The same goes for Fire Bolts. As I said in my previous post, everything works just fine in vanilla Gothic and in the Nostalgic Edition, as well (with the minor texture conflict that's just an esthetic issue, not a scripting one). I really don't want to install L'Hiver to test my patch with it.
I've just tested the patch with L'Hiver 1.6 and everything works. I created the Fire Crossbow and I bought Fire Bolts from Constantino. The only problem is that the Fire Bow isn't in its original location, but that's on L'Hiver, not me.
Yeah, I've managed to get a plan, brought 500 gold and all needed materials (2 Heavy Branches, a saw, few not heated steel bars and raw ores, few ore lamps) but when I ask him he says I'm trying to pull his leg. As I understand it means that some materials are missing. Double checked what mods I'm running and I think this one (Gothic II Weapons Rebuilt-6-0-72b-1638256528) might cause scripting problems, but I really like it so will give a test to yours during next play-through for another faction. Once again, thank you for your time and replies. Cheers:)
The "Gothic II Weapons Rebuilt" only contains meshes and textures, so no script conflicts there. I'm sorry to hear it's still not working for you. It worked fine for me in vanilla, Nostalgic Edition and L'Hiver. I'm also running all sorts of other Ninja patches like Stamina, Enhaned Sneak, Free Aim and many more, and there is no conflict with any of them. I might have a suggestion: try reading the "Plan for crafting the Fire Crossbow" just before you're prepared to talk to Bennet about creating it, or drop it from your inventory and pick it up again, and then talk to him. It might be that, for some reason, he doesn't recognize the Plan and re-reading it or picking it up again refreshes it in your inventory.
