Now also available for Gothic 2. Just use the Gothic_2_Weapons_Rebuilt.vdf instead. Replaces the same weapons as the G1 mod, but now working for Gothic 2 as well.

Hey I have a small request, could you update the mod for Spine? If not, that's fine.

Hello! Thanks for the retexture of the weapon. I have a request to you, make the inscriptions on some weapons look like the original. The inscription in the original: Hor a short life we stand hu Gomez. For example, on the sword of Torus, on a good sword (the sword of the judge), on the sword of Artaud and others. There is no need to fix it on a "simple sword". Example of Torus Sword fan art (text):  https://yoji.artstation.com/projects/xvdKY . Arto's Sword original: https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/gothic/images/a/a7/Miecz_strachu_%28G1%29.png/revision/latest?cb=20171128072231&path-prefix=pl

    Great job congratulations!
I have two questions to ask you.
    1) If you know any Modder Team who are planning to do a serious Remake for Gothic.
    2) You made me want to try to make some weapons for Gothic, unfortunately I can't find the tools to do it anymore, would you be kind enough to send me some unexpired links? A thousand thanks.

Do you have mayby files for modders? Free from addon pack? Files alone?

    Hi,
after instalation of latest version of textures, it is somehow bugged for most renewed weapons. Older versions are functional alright.
    https://ibb.co/BBJv7PJ
There is a screen of my data folder, maybe something is interferring with new version of textures.
    https://i.gyazo.com/31b1aa51cb0ed6f652e424eb2ff096c6.png
    I also use Union 1.0l and DX11 fron Kirides - https://github.com/kirides/GD3D11
Also G1is functional well with new version. I tried to remove everything what could interfere with it in G2 addon and still are textures from pack bugged.
    Thx for help.

      Hi Dolero,
I'm sorry to hear you have troubles with latest version, G2 still is a bit of unknown terrain to me. The data folder looks ok to me from the first glance, could you describe what exactly is wrong? Are meshes / textures not loading or just looking weird? I can't see the first image you linked, it might show the issue, but it is giving me a blank page.

Edit: I just had a look at every single weapon in G2 and I found 3 weapons without a texture (Pirate sword and 2 maces) as well as the orc axes that seem to miss the complete mesh. I am trying to find out what's the issue here because they work fine in G1. Can you confirm it is the issue you're facing or are more weapons affected on your side?

I reuploaded version 0.57 which has been reported to be stable until the issues are fixed.

Hello, firstly I wanna say that I really like your work, your textures are totally great and I would not play without them anymore. In fact, I don't know how the textures  from Gothic and working with them works, but what would be totally great if you make the weapons more realistic, you know, no double - edged axes, no strage crossguards for swords, no strange blade designs and another stupid fantasy things making the weapons nonusable if they were forged in real world.  :)
In case of issue - yes, some weapons you named are bugged, they have grey/black texture (Mace, Skullsplitter, Pirate's Cutlass) and some orc weapons (L, M, H axes,) are totally missing. I asked one guy about it from our discord server and he told me that you maybe wrongly packed textures into vdf file or you made so large textures so the G2 and addon can't use even them, but of course the issue can be in another way.
But I am sure you'll find the way how to resolve this problem and bring us more pretty textures.

I updated the G2 version, it should work now. Someone at Piranha Bytes thought it good idea to rename every single weapon mesh from G1 for G2, so I have to fit and match every single weapon to the new name and apparently some errors occurred, sorry for that.

To the style of the weapons, I try to stay as "realistic" as possible without going away from the original art style too much. The reason why most people endorse my mod is the fact they still recognize the original weapons. I am rebuilding, not re-designing. I understand your idea and share your thoughts to a degree, but I know for a fact that most fans would not appreciate significant design changes.

Very nice mod, i like weapons textures quite a lot. And i watched your video on youtube
But question, are you, by any chance, planning to work on making weapons more "relistic" as well? Y'know, axes not as gragantuan, or swords with smooth blades, rather than filled with spikes, like Uriziel? Just a question

      Hi, thanks for liking it!
I actually try to stick to the original as close as possible. This makes sure I hit the spirit of Gothic which is probably the thing most people expect and want. It's quite common with graphic overhauls that users complain about not matching the mood or look & feel of the original.
