Вітаю! Це чудовий мод! Без нього я не бачу сенсу грати у gothic 1. Я хочу перекласти мод Українською. Як це зробити?
Congratulations! This is a great mod! Without it, I don't see the point of playing gothic 1. I want to translate the mod into Ukrainian. How to do it?

You know the mod is great when it's uploaded on Nexusmods instead of some garbo shady ruskie temp. hosting page

Is there a way to revert the FONTS back to their default?

Yes, you need to sit in a bench (one is close to where you begin a NG), and it will present a couple options.

    Hey there,

I downloaded the German version of this mod from the worldofgothic website (since I also play the German version of Gothic). I have three minor problems so far:

Shrike (the bandit near the soldiers in the new camp), Orik (the soldier near Lee), and Jacko near the new camp all are missing their voiced lines. Is anyone else having this problem or is this problem only with the German version? I have everything installed normally and otherwise everything else works perfectly.

    Thanks!

EDIT: Nevermind, this problem affects only the German version. The problem was answered at the worldofgothic website.

I combined Artiemo Textures, Gothic Weapons Rebuilt and your mod together. It looks great now. I did not over write any of your mods textures or meshes. I would like to upload it to the Nexus. But I don`t want to steal anybodys mod. I guess I have to get permission from 3 mod authors. Could I have your permission? Unless you plan to make this update yourself. Then I will not. Getting permission from Artiemo and the author of Gothic weapons rebuilt may be A problem. Language barrier.

One last thing. What is with the Auronen.mod? It is listed in the .ini, but not included in the modvdf folder.

Google translate should do a good enough job to surpass the language barrier. I'd love to see a patch, or a mod compilation, of these mods. I'm a huge Gothic fan, but I don't really know much about modding personally.

I just startet the mod, so far I like it, but how do I make a weapon, everytime I try after heating up the metal rod and I try to use it on the anvil, it just dissapears. Is it part of the Mod or is it a bug?

You can have only one hot steel at once, so you need to keep going through the entire smithing process, then repeat everything if you want to do another sword.

What about those upscaled textures here on nexus? Is it not recommended as well?

I'm afraid it will overwrite some of the mod textures which I think are too great. But a texturepack shouldn't ruin anything, as long as you are not using DX11, then you are fine.

If you know how to use the VDFS tool you can add any texture pack you want. I would choose NOT to overrite this mods textures, when you add them to the build folder. So that way, A new texture mod will only add new stuff. That`s what I did. Look the comments on my UnPatch save file page here on Nexus, to find out how to do this.
EDIT:oops, that was meant for the OP.

I know how to do this, and I even have done that with Artemiano texturepack, but haven't released it yet, that's for another ocasion :)

Great job on this mod btw. I really like the text fonts. Is A new game required? Because I have the quick start save file, for the base game. No big deal if I have to. Endorsed btw.
Also, is it ok to use CP1.1 and Union 1.0k (SP1.9)?

Saves from vanilla game are not compatible. Bus some of the mod updates won't require game restart.

    @GaroK0

Sir, do you happen to have a fix/idea how i can tweak the sensitivity of the mouselook to make OX the same sensitivity with OY?
Because there is a huge difference : when i look lef-right the sensitivity is fine (with mouselook maxxed in game settings), but when looking up and down its slow as hell.

I tried looking a bit in the game files and i found in Gothic\system\systempack.txt a line where it says "zMouseRotationScale=0.2" but i have no idea if this is the thing i want to tweak or not. What would you advise?

    (EDITED/updated)
    Hello.

As a guy that hasn't played Gothic 1 for more than 10 years (and certainly not modded), i have to mention that your readme (aka manual.txt) is not entirely helpful because you mention there that we need to start the game via "Gothic Starter" but that file does not exist unless i install the "Gothic 1 Player Kit" (and in case some1 else has my problem: that file can be found here ).

Also, it seems that the Modfix already has been patched to 1.02 but on another site ( moddb ).

AAAAAnd on that moddb page it is also stated that another requirement would be the SystemPack?.

So maybe mention that the Player Kit and the System Pack are requirements (you know, in case other noobs like me might drop by).

    Cheers!

I think it goes without saying you need to have Systempack/Union + Playerkit, otherwise the vanilla game won't work, let alone any mod. Maybe I'll update it later with next release.

Nexus and moddb are the same versions, I didn't name the one here properly.

So, where do I put this?  Just in the folder, or in an inner folder?

There is a manual in the download.

Put the contents of modvdf in Gothic/Data/Modvdf
Put the contents of system in Gothic/System

I have an installer of the mod that would do the job for people, but unfortunately it seems that Nexus does not like .exe files.
