Added some comparison pics, there's a lot more that this helps with that isn't shown here too, such as increasing how far cloth will render on street stalls, how far you can see the lights/mailboxes/etc on apartments, fixes for low-framerate animations, etc.

Cost around 5fps from my casual comparison at 60fps range.
Animation-rate optimization turn off or a.URO.Enable=0 has no visible fps loss to me.

(This is only with the engine.ini tweak and the comparison is done at the starting point of the game.)

So I know I'm a little late to the party lol but, does this still work to stop the rain? I tried it following the steps and the rain keeps coming. Is it possible this no longer works for the newer versions of the game? Thanks in advance!!

Playing on Gamepass version. Crashes for me too randomly. Funnily enough it doesn't crash on the "arr arr" version which is based off the Steam version.

Thanks! We need more graphic mods for this game.

Looks fantastic, first thing I noticed was no more 24-30fps animations for burning car smoke/fire.

With 60fps locked, don't know the performance impact. Wish a mod like this was around for Yakuza 0 back when I played that.

I am quite sure the UE4SS part of the mod makes my game randomly crash.
I thought initially it was ShaderToggler from Reshade to remove fog. That fixed normal crashes with error messages. But testing it now with just Reshade along with your Engine.ini and it had no issues once I deactivated this UE4SS mod in mods.txt.
Unfortunately when this mod does crash, it does so to desktop and UE4SS.log file doesn't address it since it doesn't show anything when the game had crashed. Of course Reshade.log file keeps track till last second and shows to not be at fault.

I'm on the version right before Denuvo, October 2022.

There's a good chance it's UE4SS related, when working on it I ran into crashes with it a few times when I tried accessing things at certain moments, seems it's mainly caused by the UE4SS script trying to access an object at same moment it's being deleted by game :/

Thought I found a way to get around those issues for this but guess it still happens in certain cases, do you know if the crashes were happening at random as you played, or did they only happen after a certain action like fast-travelling or loading a save?

Probably best to disable/delete the GhostwireLodMod script for now, the GhostwireCamFix script should be safe though since that uses a different way, will try seeing if I can find a better way to handle the LodMod changes too.

      The crashes were quite random.

I load the latest save after crashing, do the same path yet this time it doesn't crash and crashes later.
Then I thought maybe autosave at fault, turned that off and that didn't change a thing.
I also tried to just sit in one place and after few minutes it would crash.

Seems very random and maybe the Streaming settings in-game could address it, they are set on Auto as that is recommended. But who knows. Engine.ini makes the game much prettier already.

      Using the CamFix without issues.
