The game runs on dx12 by default. What os do you have? If you have windows 7 or lower (unlikely), then the game will run in dx11. In this case, rename the "d3d12.dll" included in the mod to "d3d11.dll" or even "dxgi.dll" might work. Just to be sure, make sure you have pasted everything in the folder to: ./Ghostwire Tokyo/snowfall/binaries/win64 Such that GWT.exe and the reshade files are in the same folder. If that doesn't work, manually install reshade from reshade.me. But make sure you use reshade 4.9 or 4.8. Reshade 5.0 has performance issues with this game which has cut gpu usage by half for most people.
I get something similar running on Win10, for me it says dx12 is not supported on my system which I know is not the case , I know my card supports it and I've been playing the game in DX12 before using any reshades.
Hmm I did not try installing this without reshade, I didnt realize it was not needed. Let me try this :) Ok I got it working but it has made everything very green:( With Clarity Off
The reshade itself doesn't make it green, the scene is greenish, it just enhances the colors so it appears that way.
Edit: Try going into reshade settings (by pressing home key or whatever you have set it to) and look for vibrance settings and lower the green value (indicated by RGB values) or lowering the strength of the effect. Alternatively, not sure if it would work but look for Ambient light setting and try to change the color temp. value from "light dependent" to "warm" or "cold". See if it helps.
I thought this as well but I tried another reshade and it made that same area brighter with no green at all, I'm guessing they removed the green tint somehow, I'll have to dig some more :) I like how everything else looks though so I will figure this out ! :)
Running Windows 11, I tried it again after fully removing anything related to reshade and repasting the folder and now I get a fatal error when it hits the in initial splash screen.
Welp, I use W11 myself and never had fatal errors with reshade, at most had to rename dxgi.dll manually to match the api used by the game, still it didn't involve crashes. Try clean installing reshade from reshade.me (use version 4.8 or 4.9 as 5.0 has issues with this game). See if that runs, this could help point the problem.
If it does, just copy the "shaders" and "textures" folder and the preset .ini files in the mod over the manually installed working reshade (4.8 and 4.9 shaders are inter-compatible).
it is simple and good, but the ambient light only looks good on the source of light, if we go to dark alley or inside a convenient store it becomes to dark
Hmm i see, i kind of expected it because i only tested it out in the open where most of the game is set. I will try to fix it and update in the future.

There is a message that the value cannot be applied.
