Hi, I almost feel stupid for asking but does it work online without ban issues or do I have to turn anticheat off?

sorry for answering earlier but it shouldn't cause ban, only make your combat harder

You have to actually delete or otherwise remove the old sound files otherwise you will still hear the hitmarkers. This is why so many people are having trouble with this mod.

For people who are wondering wether this mod still works, the answer is still YES. If you think the mod doesn't work then you've possibly done something wrong while you were installing it. YOU are at fault not the developer/publisher of this mod or anybody else. The instructions are listed and are clear and simple. Don't go spread bad news about the mod just because of your failure

Wondering if it is still working right now after the recent Update that Ubisoft once again sent in...
Infact Tavreth had to update his mod both CT and Exe versions (the FPP famous mod)

That damn detection gong pissed me off every time I played, so getting rid of it would be very welcome. It would really make the game more enjoyable than such a nuisance that constantly infuriates you. Whoever invented this acoustic torture for the players needs to be incarcerated and banned from game development for life.

But why on earth would you also remove hit feedback from a game? I want any useful information I can get that sounds or looks reasonably natural, I just don't want to be "alarmed" by glowing red and green circles on every damn head I spotted or be annoyed with passive-aggressive gong ... gong ... gong ... gongongongonggongongong!!!! when I don't give a flying rat's patoot about every sodding Unidad and Sicario gawping around on the planet. But whether I hit them or not when I fire at them, whether my aim, i.e. my lead and elevation are correct, what someone like a spotter would tell me in real life if I were a sniper, something like that is desperately needed. Now I don't get it, on two counts.

I tried it anyway, and it made the game sound indeed less annoying, more natural, calmer, but at the same time ... dull without the hit feedback in firefights or especially when shooting from medium and long range. At these distances you see nothing, and now you also know nothing. It also removes the AA-radar detection sounds... something an aircraft would have (and need) if one chose to have it. Since the mod also removes vital information, this is a no-go mod for me. 🚫 Gotta find my own solution. Unfortunately, this was not it. Uninstalling the game will probably be one.

simply because when I snipe enemies I don't want to hear a watermelon popping up in my ears. At close range in real life you don't hear it either, the noise of the gun is too loud

so use visual confirmation I'd say...

you can use the description tools to do your own version, but I think someone made a hit version below in the comments.

I wish this was removed or removable from the game Ubisoft has no idea what they are doing when doing a Ghost Recon Game.. despite Ghost Recond WIldlands was quite good not counting AI and other tons of bugs not fixing and releasing in a terrible status na so on...
However this is a much needed thing. I will check to see if I can add this new 3rd mod to eliminate the hit sound... so to make it more realistic.
It's incredible how the trend for "mobile gamers" and hidden behind "accessibility" which is a farse, has degraded games SOOO MUCH.
Including not having naymore talents and people that know what they are doing (desinging a game and play their own game) .. so that they aundersand what the heck they are doing... what errors they are releasing.

The hit marker and sound cliche like the detection sound are Terrible things that are found in so many game to push the comfort zone of Masses that want to play the same game over and over even if they buy new games they want to play the same game... This is so detrimental to the culture of playeurs and quality of gaming.

The question of ther original poster can be answered with fuirther explanation: To design a deeper game needs more money, what they had to add is CARTEL or other people BARKS as they are called in videogame design or cinema jargon.
So what the Cartel or others would have done is depending on distance or whatever they would have shot in the air, thrown insults to you, shot near you or else.. or maybe a megaphone (near UNI bases)... and so on. This stuff has not been done because they don't care.

This is how games are developed today and people need to be angry because this game could have made HISTORY if only it was polished and more developed... anyway... people need to be aware. Develop their own sensibility and be sensible to things.. instead people do not care. of course games become trash and trash.. and producer call for releasing utter trash.

Thanks a bunch for this, I'm looking forward to trying it out but I've got a feeling I'm going to miss that satisfying "thud" of landing hits. Is there any chance you'd be willing to elaborate on how you edited the .bat files to get it to output .wav so I can try out the second method you mentioned and leave just the hit sounds in?

I like the mod a lot. I only wish the thud sounds remained when shooting enemies up close.

This file also removes the helicopter detecting SAM launchers. Anyway you can correct this?
