It's not, you've not followed the steps correctly and from the sounds of it, you've not opened the actual cheat engine file in cheat engine (hence no checkbox), so maybe try that.

      Im having the same problem.
I see videos of people clicking the square beside FirstPerson and it wont select for me.
      A fix would be fantastic.

OK so there is some kind of f*#@ up with steam always launching using the vulkan exe.

      1. Open game folder and right click GRB.exe -> copy as path
      2. Right click game in Steam and set launch option. Paste path and add %command% like so:

      "E:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Ghost Recon Breakpoint\GRB.exe" %command%

      3. Launch the game, check in task manager that GRB.exe is present and not GRB_vulkan.exe
      4. Attach CT as per mod author instructions

You may need to swap in and out of ADS to fix when the camera appears inside player head, I think this was same for Wildlands.

Followed this to a T cannot get this to work, assume its due to being new to cheat engine, any chance you will  make a .exe version of this mod like you did with Wildlands?

I suddenly get an error and cant check the FirstPerson box. It says "Failure determining what "GBR.exe" + 10F4B3 means"
It worked a few hours ago, was there an update in the game or something?

Tested it this morning, CQC works fine with first person view. Most things do - when talking to NPC's at objectives or going into Erewhon or bivouacs, I recommend switching to third person. Same goes for some vehicles, but this is not a big issue.

I wish there was a way for Tavreth to modify the fov when aiming down sights (ads). Breakpoint does an autozoom in ads (an issue not related to this mod) - would be awesome if he could overwrite another variable that can help with that.

I have this exact same error. I manually compiled cheat engine successfully, but I can't activate the ct as it gives this error for me as well. Couldn't wait to give this a try this morning...

Edit - I thought I might have messed up the build and decided to get the Patreon version without the bundled crap in the public installer. Wasted 5 Aussie dollars as I still get the same error, so it is not the Cheat Engine version. Anyone else getting this error?

      UPDATE 8 April 2024:
I managed to get the script working. On the first line of the CT in Cheat Engine that starts with "Made by Tavreth.", right click.
A menu will pop up -> select the "Change Script" option. A small window should pop up with the first few lines of the script, with line 5 being the one that throws the error. Simply comment line 5 out by adding "//" at the start of the line 5 (the entire line 5 should turn blue, meaning it is commented out)
Close that window by clicking "Ok".
Now the click the checkbox and the X will appear in the block. It does not turn green on mine like in DEEF's video, but I tested it in Breakpoint and the mod now works. I don't know what that line 5 is supposed to do as I have not tested it extensively in Breakpoint, so hopefully it is not something important.
