Always run the game as administrator and do not install it on the C: drive where your Windows is installed. C: drive folders are managed by Windows, this will cause the game to crash with any mods installed. Move your steam library to another drive and try.
That's not true, I install all my games on c: and have no issues, including this game with reshade. Actually I have done so all of my life and it causes zero issues with modding games, I don't know where you got that idea from.
It is not the same for everyone. If you don't have this problem, good for you then. Sometimes it happens when installing a pirated version of a game because the repacked installer installs the game in the "Program Files (x86)" folder on the C: drive. The ownership of this folder belongs to Windows. Any writing to this folder requires administrator rights. Every time you run the game with mods that require write permission, your game will crash. Also, with reshade, every time it tries to create a log file, it needs write permission from windows and game will crash after startup. If you don't know about something, don't bother yourself with it. Thank you
It looks amazing, especially in the rain. The only problems are that this reshade makes the sun and its reflections on mud very blue and bright and it can be annoying. It also happens with some waterfalls.
It usually happens during storms and sunset. One thing I will say though is that sunsets look a bit wonky, as they are extremely red with a very blue sun.
How are you finding the game to modify? I know it uses a proprietary engine, so unsure if it's reasonable to expect its modding scene to grow substantially.
