Just to make a more recent update, this mod is still not working. I would consider it dead so don't bother downloading it unless you see a new version uploaded after 2024.
Hello there, i would say that it's a nice mod, but i cannot get it to work, so i can't have an opinion yet. I tried five different versions of your files for the increasing of the capacity and followed the game path exactly - here an example: D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\GenerationZero\dropzone\settings and there is the "playersettings.playersettingsc" file. I tried both paths given by you and the user below me @degarni, his paths let me boot the game and let's me play the game, yours gets me stuck in an infinite loading screen. Even verifiying the integrity of the game files won't help, but his path works: " -VFS-FS Dropzone-VFS-Archive Archives_win64/Initial-VFS-Archive Archives_win64/Supplemeal-VFS-Archive Archives_win64/OPTIONAL --VFS-FS." Yours is this and i exactly copied it, even tried it a few times, by deleting the space between the dot and the last character, but in the end it seems to be the space and the double minus character at the beginning.: "--vfs-fs dropzone --vfs-archive archives_win64/initial --vfs-archive archives_win64/supplemental --vfs-archive archives_win64/optional --vfs-fs . " I tried removing the space slot, because i thought maybe you wanted to indicate the dot and maybe put an space there to highlight it. Notice, that i put in an extra space slot before and after the command line in between the exclamation marks, to give an better overview - so please have that in mind if you reproduce these steps and copy-paste the command line.
I have no clue what i'm missing, but even when the game boots (and i played with an total fresh save file and even created one in another try by removing beforehand my save-files) it won't change anything about the inventory or the storage capacity - so yea.
I removed the dropzone folders before i tried installing a different file of yours and i checked the integrity of the files after trying it to run once and getting stuck in the infinite loading screen. Of course i dragged the new dropzone folder with the new content in and i checked the launching commands/options as well, also once with and without the command/launch option. That brings us up to a total of around 20 tries (1x without launch option and without verifying game files; 1x with launch options and without verifying; 1x with launch options after verifiying game files; 1x without launch option and after verifying game files; that all times five and here we go.).
Tomorrow i would try to install the game on my 1st solid state drive and try it out there, since right now its on my 2nd ssd as you can see by the SteamLibrary, maybe it needs close proximity to the steam profile folder? I'll update this if that will fix it. If i don't update this till the 28th november it haven't worked.
It would be nice of someone, for whom it works, to point out what he did different, so i may retrace his steps and maybe can get it to work aswell? Thank you for your time! Best Regards.
Now let me repay you, the reason why the mod didn't work for us (aside from the loading screen) is that you changed that string too much, here is the version that doesn't give a loading loop and makes the mods work: --vfs-fs dropzone --vfs-archive archives_win64/initial --vfs-archive archives_win64/supplemental --vfs-archive archives_win64/optional --vfs-fs.
The only change is the final .(dot) Have a nice game!
Fresh re-install of the game today. I installed the mod and had the same issue. I have now tried every version of the "working" launch options in this thread and it still doesn't work. I don't know what others are doing to claim it does.
THE MOD WORKS. But hte startup code has changed it has to be "--vfs-fs dropzone --vfs-archive archives_win64/initial --vfs-archive archives_win64/supplemental --vfs-archive archives_win64/optional" just remove the qoute marks and replace the launch option you have with that one.
It still works tho, just gotta modify the startup option to the right one "--vfs-fs dropzone --vfs-archive archives_win64/initial --vfs-archive archives_win64/supplemental --vfs-archive archives_win64/optional"
Not supported but still works, make sure to follow the "Startup code" on the steam properties in General- Launch options and the launch line with the dot. Space then dot it still works.
Also, take the file within the Winrar folder of the one ya want and put into the Generation zero file. The installed files folder, put the one ya want in and launch it afterwards. Currently as of this date even IF outdated it still works as of this date.
So say the 1k everything folder, take that from the winrar and drop it into the installed files folder. With the Launch options in the steam properties general down to "Launch options" post the said thing exactly. If more details I will try to explain it.
The game isnt infinity loading which is good but the moving capacity or specifically "CarryWeight" part doesnt seem to work for me, any ideas on how to fix this?
Update: it works, I was just +200k in carry weight, its water weight I promise

I removed all command line stuff and it loads now but it has none of the weight stuff =C Carrying around 1900 kg ain't doing it for me lol
