Hi. It's really simple: just install GRM, then follow the instructions in the Read me file of my mod to install it.
The only big problem should be with the objgfxcfg.zip file that contains the preview images for the shipsets (since GRM has its own version I think you need to unzip both files, then create a brand new objgfxcfg.zip that contains both).
Too bad but I'm not able to install this mod. It is my first attempt at installing a mod and apparently I'm stuck with the ship designs that stardock included with the game. I guess it was too much to ask of them to put more than the handful of designs per size but anyways who cares what idiots like me think.
Hi. Tell me, what exactly is the problem you have with the installation (if you can tell me the exact error message you receive from the game I can try to check it)?
Thanks for this. I had feared thad modding for GalCiv3 was dead and i just got GalCiv3+Crusader on Steam. Love the game. I have been working on making some Civilizations with ships and Civilian pics. Never modded though. Just doing it through the game.
You have assembled each of those new Fleet types in a formation that previews every kind (Scout to Supports, etc) & i suppose you could take a snapshot from the game itself or in another way.
Is there a pre-assembled "Template" that we could load-up for ourselves to examine everything at once while into Designer(s) ??? If not.. the complexity of building such a swift set and then.. activating whatever needs to isn't really efficient, AFAIC.
Shipset template files will be added in the first update of the mod (currently work in progress, should be ready for release around end of December - beginning of January), alongside various fixes and new ship designs.
