Hey - can you update this mod for the FP2 Major Content Update? My game crashes when I try to use the latest version of the mod on the new update. Take your time; you don't want to release a borked mod when it's updated.
Hey folks shadyoaks here, one of the many writers working on this mod. As we all know 11bit dropped an update which cause the mod to break and unfortunately hevi is on a week long vacation and won’t be able to update the mod until he’s back. Very sorry for the inconvenience especially since we just dropped 0.05 but your patience is much appreciated and we’ll get the mod running up again soon
Most likely no, i've got several complaints of crashes related to that. I suggest to start a new save. Or use a previous version if you want to keep playing on the previous save. Unfortunately i cant really do anything about that.
Hey, was wondering if this mod is still being worked on, I already really like what's on offer right now, and I want to know if we can be expecting any updates anytime soon.
I tried this mod and I have to say I am dissatisfied. I know it's a work in progress, but I feel that this doesn't even have enough content for a vertical slice.
I absolutely love the idea to add more nuanced laws (although for what it's worth, I recommend adding a few positives, because if I want to turn myself into Big Brother, I can already do that with the Captain Ending), but the ones that appear in this mod, while they sound impressive on paper, since only one of the options can be active at the same time, it doesn't have that big of an effect on overall game feel.
Also, the Whiteout Protocol is a good idea, however, in its current state, it's pretty much useless.
Since the description says, that only essential workers can keep going to work, but it also disables housing districts, so the gain you get from the less heat required is lost, because apparently the people who maintain the houses lock the populace out of their homes as part of the Whiteout Protocol.
All in all, this is not a good mod in its current form (duh, it's not even 1.0 yet, me), since its effect is barely noticeable.
HOWEVER
I love the idea, and I really hope that you're going to improve it a lot, because with a couple changes, a few or a lot more laws and maybe a few unique events, this could rival a new scenario.
Sorry for dragging an alpha version through the mud, but I tried to give a bit of constructive criticism.
hey shady oaks here one of the writers for the mod, thanks for the constructive criticism ill work with some other writers to see how to improve these laws and add new ones as well
Thank you for the criticism. I know about the effect bug/unintended feature about whiteout protocol. Unfortunately Im not sure how to resolve that since im kinda new to Unreal engine. (literally my first project that is more than a reskin). Obviously in the future I'd like to add laws with more complex effects, but yeah I'll need to get used to UE. And yeah, keep in mind that currently Im the only developer. So updates will take a lot of time. About the future plans: I think about 20-35% of our law ideas have been implemented already. But even that list getss bigger with time, so the actual number might be more close to 15%. Not to mention new communities. Some of their functionality already works just fine, but I don't want to publish that part yet.
