Beside subjective of personal taste, I knew that so many type and models of Monitors/TVs out there. LCD/LED/OLED/QLED ; IPS/TN/VA... etc. And they have their own characteristic (from neutral colors to vibrant colors, high to low black levels/white point, etc).
Therefore I made a simple adjustment UI for this mod. You can adjust Dark Level, Light Intensity, Color Saturation, Sharpness, etc.by press END keyboard button to show-up Reshade UI. Just adjust the value to matching with your current screen (Monitor/TV) or fit with your taste/liking.
Cheers, Chris
ps. Once again, to avoid crashing please make sure that you already clean-up your Reshade files before install this mod. Do not using Reshade installer, just extract my mod files into the proper folder as mention on the description. Also do not mixed with the other Reshade shaders files. This game actually using some anti-cheat method that also block and kick you once it detect you are trying to access depth-buffer. This mod also not compatible with XBOX PC Games Pass version.
Hello, for me it crashed at startup banners (turn 10 games etc.), I disabled Use desktop game theatre when launching desktop games while SteamVR is active and it allowed me to continue into the start game screen, after loading it crashes : / could it be that they dont allow modded game files?
Edit: Never mind, it crashed at startup banners again...
For those who have FH5+Reshade crash problem: try to disable MSI Afterburner and Riva Tuner applications if you use it. In my case these guys cause the problem with FH5 crashing.
I don't know what is happening on your PC, but everything seems to run so fine on my PC and also in my small community (I used to test my mod with some of my close friends before upload it into Nexusmods).
May I know what your PC Spec is? And what Windows 10/11 version do you currently use?
I have the same problem. Doesn't matter which version of reshade I use, it crashes at the login screen every time. I even uninstalled all old drivers with DDU and reinstalled them, but still not working.
UPDATE: It appears the update released today [11/17/2021] has fixed the Reshade crashing issue for Steam. I suspect the MXAO and DOF issue has been fixed as well, but someone may need to test this.
@Akilleaze58 I see, even tough I don't have problem with my current Reshade framework in my rig, if you said the un-official Reshade update (version 4.9.3? ) now can work properly with DOF and MXAO, so I would be happy too; because it mean we can access depth-buffer with this version 4.9.3. Therefore, now I will starting to work to make the 3D stereoscopic feature with my mod :) We are need to access depth buffer for 3D Stereoscopic mode, and we can't access it with any official Reshade version (prior 4.9.3).
Thanks for the information, mate.
Happy gaming and cheers, Chris
UPDATE: Oops, My mistake. Did you mean that update is FH5 hotfix update #1 right? Because I can't find Reshade newer than 4.9.2 (compiled by Otis), there is no 4.9.3 yet. :) UPDATE #2: Still cannot access Depth-buffer with FH5 new update. :'(
@crubino - Yes, when I mentioned the update, I meant FH5 has updated and not Reshade. I don't think Reshade has updated in quite some time. Also, it appears FH5 does still crash unexpectedly even with the update and the Steam overlay turned off, but it is much more stable then it was. It seems this is not the most stable or properly optimized game in the world.
@Akilleaze58 I see. Yes I was wrong the first time I read your posting. I thought there was a special build/unofficial 4.9.3 update for Reshade (last time, they released unofficial 4.9.2 ~ a special build to solve problems with FAR CRY 6). But after I look it up, there is no update for Reshade after 4.9.2. And Yesterday when I was running FH5, I realized there was a FH5 hot-fix update #1 arriving on my PC. To be honest, I don't know what is happening with your PC; but this game is super stable running on my PC. Now I have been playing this game up-to 72 hours, and never have a single crash. With or without Reshade, Windows 10 2004 or Windows 11, all seem fine here (also on my close friend's PC).
The only one problem with Reshade is it cannot access FH5 depth-buffer yet. So we cannot use some shaders that need it (e.g 3D Stereoscopic/SuperDepth3D, MXAO, DOF, RTGI, etc.).
Btw, did you try to run just with my files only; without mixing it with the other original Reshade files (runtime file, standard shader files and configuration files that come with Reshade Installer) ?
I'm having the same issue and so do a few of my friends with the steam version.
System 1: b350 chipset Ryzen 1600 with an AMD RX 580 System 2: x470 chipset Ryzen 3600 with an NVIDIA GTX 1070 System 3: x570 chipset Ryzen 5XXX(Not sure which, I'd have to ask) with an NVIDIA RTX 3060 Ti
We have tried a few different versions of reshade, running as admin, disabling fullscreen optimization, getting rid of background apps, disabling steam overlay, underclocking, etc. Hopefully an update for Forza will fix it or reshade will release a special compatibility version for those of us with issues.
