You said this can be used with the Microsoft Store version, but it doesn't seem to work even when you've managed to access the files.
Even once you've got access to the game directory, all the files are locked and show a lock icon. With some more hacky stuff you can move those files into a normal directory but the files remain locked and you can't open or edit them. But no bother because we're not interested in the original files anyway.
When you put the files from this or any mod into the game directory in place of the original files they sit there alongside the other locked files and the game appears to completely ignore them and won't load them resulting in a completely disabled radio in game
My frustration is I spent hours dealing with getting the files into the game directory because 2 different mod authors said it works with the Microsoft store version, only to find the game won't load non locked files and completely ignores them.
For two different mod authors to say it can be used with the Microsoft Store version means somebody has obviously got it working, otherwise the description would say they don't know if it works with the Microsoft Store version, so what am i missing?
hey man, i appreciate what you’ve done here,i have a semi unrelated request since you seem kinda open to helping people, i want hospital bass arena and pulse (or just the whole fh4 radio) in 5…if you could help with that or get in contact to help me do it myself im pretty open and capable
I could, but I don't really want to mess with it too much, as Forza Horizon 5 is the newest game of the series and is seemingly still getting updates to the radio as well, potentially making the Radio unuseable after an update and I'd rather not have to worry about having to keep track of mod updates. If Forza Horizon 5 is ever gonna be continued as a service game, I would take a look on that, if no one else is doing it before me. Aside from that, there is a Mod that adds the existing FH4 Radio or even the whole radio catalog of all Forza Horizon Games into the game. You can check that one out here.
I can't guarantee that you can't but as far as I know, nobody got banned so far for using radio mods in any Forza Horizon.
There's some stuff that you shouldn't try, like adding a song from Horizon 3s Future Classic to a level of Super7. But aside form that, you should be good to go.
Awesome mod! Better than FH4's over-censored music after "that" update, however,I noticed that when "Notaker - The Storm" plays on Horizon Bass Arena,it's completely silent, nothing plays for it's duration, also I don't know if Nitro Fun's Cheat Code is supposed to be the original song or replaced but either way it plays the og song
Yes, I didn't remove "Cheat Codes - Nitro Fun" and you're right about "Notaker - The Storm". Thanks for letting me know about this. I will (hopefully) fix this soon. I've already found the issue.
Thanks for the mod! I installed it in the steam client with file replacement and everything works well! But I don't like that all the previous music has disappeared - can I make this mod not change, but expand the collection of music? I like old radio stations, I just want more music.
Havic3 and me are actually trying to get this to work, but we haven't found a reliable way to add all the radios yet. We're still going to try though. He got it to work in Forza Horizon 5, but somehow there are some empty files you can use for more radio stuff, that don't exist in Forza Horizon 4, so it will be tricky, we may need to kill some languages for this to work, but we think it's possible. We're trying not to use this method though, because as I said it makes some languages unplayable, since the game will crash so we're still looking for effective methods
is it somehow possible to only overwrite one station with another one? I'd like to transplant the FH3 Hospital records playlist to FH4, overwriting Timeless or whatever.
It is possible , however, I (or you, whoever would do it first) would need to do a custom build, which shouldn't be too difficult tbh. You can dm me on twitter for more information on what you want to have in the game. I maybe could also just add all the hospital records songs to existing hospital records if that would be what you want to have.
Great Idea, these songs (they are good, but not when u heard'em all on repeat during loading screen for over 100 times) have gotten really stale, really quick. Is it OK to use it during online play? Adventures, Hyper7, you name it. Or mods should only be used in offline mode? Otherwise, ban? Thnx, kudos to you:)
You can use this mod online, as long as you don't add music to your own racetracks, that don't exist in oem FH4. For example, you shouldn't add the FH3 DLC song from Hospital Record, since there is no DLC song in FH4 in Hospital records.
