I'm confused. What patch file? What file is it that I'm to edit?

There's a file called "filesystem" without any filetype ending in the game directory. It seems like we're meant to add the line in there.

I'm getting the same "Fatal error: Could not query file size for BFS archive" error as many others have in here though.

@Thrillvilled could you please update the installation instructions? I don't see a line mentioning "patch1.bfs" for instance. I'm using the steam version of the game if that matters.

Fatal error: Could not query file size for BFS archive:
This bug occurs if you leave an empty line in your patch file. Simply press backspace until your cursor is on the same line as the last mod.

Note that is mod was specifically made on the version prior to the steam update. So you if you want to change back to the old version you have to go into your properites tab in your game and under the Betas section, you can choose the 2014 build of the game.

I have made a steam version of the mod on the FlatOut 2 Workshop if you don't want to go back to the 2014 version and use the built in mod manager that comes with that version to manged the mods.

Also Pirated versions of the game are not supported aka versions that do not have a filesystem or patch files to managed the bfs archives for the game.

Just a quick note, since it appears updates have caused FallOut 2 to have a different file system (at least on Steam): the file you have to add to get the mod to be registered is called filesystem (no extension), and not patch1 anymore. Hope this helps whoever else is looking to install this.

By the way, nice work. I only installed the graphics version of this mod because I wanted to get rid of the yellow filter, but the game looks quite nice now. Although, I wish there was a way to disable the sun's lens flares, as those are a bit distracting and IMO unnecessary. Other than that, very good.

I have crazy FPS drops (~15-20 FPS) with this mod although my hardware isn't the problem.. Any way to fix this? Or do I need specific settings for the mod to get stable FPS?

Funciona! O jogo fica muito mais bonito, porem, a IA do jogo se quebra. Na primeira corrida depois de instalar, 4 bots se mataram. E a Sofia ficava dando piruleta o tempo todo (ela que é a IA mais inteligente). Mod quebrado.

      Updated the install page.

Forgot to check that when you are adding the mod to the patch file, it must be named exactly to the mod file that you have put in the game directory for the game to work.

Game crashes on launch with a popup saying "Fatal error: Could not query file size for BFS archive." Are we going to get a fix for any of these issues?

    Incompatible with Localization.
After installing the localization, the required line disappears from the "patch" file "FO2 Alternate Textures And Extras.bfs"

And if, after localization, you write "FO2 Alternate Textures And Extras.bfs" in the "patch" file, then as a result, the text is broken in the game.
    Can this be fixed somehow?
