I try to make minimal but meaningful changes, for now Garnet will be a better damage dealer thanks to the new Boost, and she will be easily a Disc3+ powerhouse in boss fights having Trance almost often now (at least in Alternate Fantasy).
I got a few ideas already for the rest of the gang.
I'm quietly waiting for the entire team to do yet another run of this gem of a game ;)
And yes I quite like those kind of changes, with Alternate fantasy it's already a notch up from vanilla.
And it's not always easy to find a meaningful yet customized way to change each character. Summons sure are "just coster yet beautiful" spells in ff9 si that's nice to have little boosts !
Glad we're on the same page here! Alternate Fantasy is already my ideal gameplay overhaul for FFIX. It already addressed everything I had issues with and then some. There's only very little we could add from it without making it redundant/over-the-top in terms of the vanilla vision. But hey, with that little space we could still work on tweaks like I've been doing with the Amazing series.
