Having trouble getting it to get to work, plus memoria thinks it isnt switxhed on. I went into the .ini file to put it top of priority list but still won't come on.
This seems pretty peculiar, I've tested the mod with the new Memoria Engine update and it was working without issues. I'll take a further look on this later, but for now you can confirm that you are using the latest version of Memoria? Also, make sure to activate which version of Amazing Steiner mod (vanilla/alternate fantasy) you need.
I'm on Memoria engine V2024.11.18, the last updated version. I'm tring to run this with Alternate Fantasy. If I can get this to work I want to use the Amazing Quina one too!
I believe you also did the Tantalus mod too. That was fun I liked that!
Thanks for the support! Be sure to activate the submod for Alternate Fantasy version in Amazing Steiner, let's see if that works. Do the same for Amazing Quina, I'm not sure about this but just keep checking if the mods/submods are activated before playing, I'm investigating whether there are weird instances that the mods are not properly being activated before playing (just a hunch, you don't need to worry about this).
Thats kinda whats happening, I switch the mods on in memoria then boot the game up and its not on and they turned off in memoria. I want to get this one working before i get the Quina one too.
I've got the same feedback for Amazing Quina with sub-mods not activating, I've informed the Memoria team for this possible issue, but for now do keep checking if your mods are properly activated being launching the game.
EDIT: Hi, just for an update and for anyone checking out the status on this issue, the amazing Memoria team has already identified this issue with sub-mods (particularly for my mod, the sub-mods are the ones you need to activate like the Vanilla and Alternate Fantasy patches). For now, make sure to check if your sub-mods are active before launching and playing the game.
A new version is now available, let me know if this finally works on your end, you wouldn't need to activate any submods now as the main mod now automatically detects if you have Alternate Fantasy or not.
Am I correct seeing that you have multiple "FolderNames" and a few lines with typo for Amazing Steiner?
Let's try this now, delete the Memoria.ini file in your FFIX folder (or move it somewhere in case you want a backup), once deleted, open the launcher again to open Memoria once more, it should recreate your Memoria.ini file. From there, deactivate everything THEN activate/install your desired mods.
Thankyou so much, that worked a treat! I honestly didnt notice the typo/s and I thought the multiple folder names thing was weird. Now to get your Amazing Quina installed.
We'll see! I already got some working mods for the others, and to be honest for Amarant I only got a few ideas since I consider him already balanced thanks to his nice utility.
But I do agree though that his strengths cover-up his weaknesses (in terms of usability and design) in Throw and Spare Change. Double Throw is an easy but effective idea, it does fill in the gap of no bigger single target damage between Elan making him a full support and an AoE attacker instead. But let's see! These are good ideas.
Thanks! That was the plan, giving a bit more buffs to our under-appreciated party members. I felt though that Steiner only needed a few buffs in his Trance since a x3 damage boost isn't that much unless he can break damage limits, especially if others like Vivi/Eiko can essentially break damage limit by doing x2 9999 damage in one turn. The rest are just really good nice-to-haves like finally not having a blank command and break skills not missing anymore.
And yes! I'll eventually cover more QoL tweaks for Alternate Fantasy and outright buffs for all party members. If you haven't checked it out Quina was the first among my tweak mods: Amazing Quina. Garnet and Vivi will soon be available, and I'm still thinking about some more ideas for the rest of the party. Cheers!

Can't wait to see what you will do with the other characters.
