Although, I LOVE this retro UI look on ALL Final Fantasy titles, this one however can be a hassle, due to elements and characters being covered by the opaque windows and menus... Is there a way to make these translucent if possible?

Try installing this, it is set with 50% opacity. It should make all elements translucent, including dialogue windows and menus. Tell me if it works and I'll add it as a download option.

Really appreciate it, but for some reason though, when I tried the demaster files, the game no longer launches...

Followed the instructions, but it just doesn't seem to work. I confirmed that the mod files are in the correct folders. Any ideas?

Just a couple things to throw them out of the way:

      - This is a mod for FF8 Remastered Steam version and not original FF8, are you using a legal Steam copy of the Remastered version?
      - Have you - before copying the mod files - extracted the games assets using the DEMASTER tool?

Yep and yep. I've got other texture mods working, but not this one for some reason. I've tried on both my desktop running Win10 and my Steamdeck running Win11 and it doesn't seem to work on either (I thought maybe it was a Win11 issue, so that's when I tried it on my Win10 machine ... still no bueno).

Thanks for the heads up, it was a problem with the folder's path. Now it should work as expected if you re-download the mod.

No problem. Yep, that did it. Thanks! I've always hated the gray UI and much prefer the classic blue, so this little mod is a nice touch.

Yea, personally I think it's a game-changer, always hated the gray UI too. You should play it with upscaled textures mod.
