This mod edits the ResidentParameter file from the FF7R's vanilla PAK files. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to find what values it changes from the base vanilla to see specifically how it works.
The reason I mention this is that I would like to incorporate its changes into other mods that change the same file for a compatibility patch. Nevertheless, because I couldn't find how it changes ResidentParameter, I don't know how to fix it.
Does someone here know which values this mod changes?
Frustratingly, the game seems to ignore aggro during certain encounters that override it with AI scripts (like Rude in his solo fight will literally only ever target the player, ever, same with the House fight).
Yea, you're right. Summons in VR could ignore it altogether as I was just controlling their aggro by switching back and forth. Honestly in-immersive as fk. *sigh* thank god for mods. can't imagine buying this on Playstation. SO happy I waited.
Summons in VR ignore aggro and always target the player, no matter the values, seems it's just hardcoded that way. As for Hellhouse I remember spamming magic with Aerith while Cloud tanked no problem, maybe you had bad RNG. Rude, honestly don't know, that fight is over very fast for me to notice. Reno+Rude definitely works.
PS I play with aggressive companions mod so AI does damage to keep up with the aggro. If you play vanilla AI barely attacks so it doesn't generete enough aggro to keep the enemy on itself.
Hats off to you sir. I was never expecting such an amazing mod to be published, but yeah this mod is such a breath of fresh air and it allows me to play the game as Aerith and Barret from long range now without always being targeted for simply controlling them.
