I don't think the author plans on adding any recolors (seems to be focusing on bringing the rest of the costumes). As long as you credit him with the original outfit work, it should be fine.

You don't have to do it now. Just whenever you feel like it. I feel you probably have other mods line up later on so I don't mind the wait.
You don't have to worry about the gloves since it's the default one from in-game (And will most likely used the Tifa Invisible Weapons for a cleaner look).
