Has nobody actually stopped to.. Y'know.. Look at the overall view of the city? NONE of the plates are perfectly built. Y'all think Shinra give a single damn about structural integrity? You can literally see random off-shoots and exposed poles at the edge of the entire perimeter of Midgar. It's not SE "inconsistencies". In fact, pretty sure the original FFVII's lead director (who played the entirety of the original game immediately prior to starting the remake saga production..) knows how the city should look... There is a TON of extremely finely-tuned detail in the design of the whole city... And y'all are put off by dimmed sunlamps (which, in-lore, it's said the slums do have, even at "night", they're not turned off, they're only dimmed) and assumptions of exact plate construction...
quite happy theres a mod like this. while its not perfect, at least it can alter the lighting for sector 5 since the empty upper plate space is in the wrong location, it bothers me and it also increases the lighting in sector 5 too damn much
Thank you for this. This mod is what I have been wishing for since I first played the game on the PS4. Have you figured out why the later chapters cannot be fixed? I'm just wondering what's so different. The missing sector 7 plate, maybe?
Clearly they don't play, otherwise the Shinra part near the stairs wouldn't be completely UNFINISHED. That is ugly, very ugly, it is ugly and shameful.
The first skybox fix is great, however, the old skybox is fitting for sector 6 aka when you get to wall market. It is possible to have the fixed skybox when you are in sector 5 but once you get to sector 6 (theres a tunnel you can use to hide the skybox change) it changes to the old skybox?
The idea is to disable the mod with F3 (or change to the Sector 6 night) when you are in the tunnel, so it's the right one when you get out! So far there's no automatic or injected version because the skybox files are not standard DDS textures.

What I couldn't fix: Anything else from Chapters 13 and 14. Doesn't seem possible, sorry!
The floating sky lamp was not even fixed for Intergrade, I wonder if SEnix is playing their own game lol.
