If you are having problems getting it to work follow the instructions below.
Go to your engine.ini located in "\Documents\My Games\FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor" and make sure "r.MipMapLODBias=" is set to -16, and "r.SkeletalMeshLODBias=" is set to -20.
If you don't know what I'm talking about watch this.
Mod isn't working for me. Adjusted the engine.ini for both "r.MipMapLODBias=-16" and "r.SkeletalMeshLODBias=-20" but textures still pop-in. Have the game running in dx11 but it still doesn't work. On the latest version of the game (1.0.0.2) using the 1.0.0.0 exe to enable dev-console. Might test it on an earlier version to see if that is the issue.
As dope as this mod looks, no matter what instructions followed nothing worked other than Roche and the new Standard Shinra model but the arms were colored white. Even tried a completely vanilla game and still no dice.
I’m having the issue where they only load close up and pop in. I’ve adjusted the r.MipMapLODBias= line in the engine.ini file from =0 to =-16 but the textures still pop in, no matter what.
I’ve tried putting the line in different positions in the list, and changing the values to 0/-4/-8/-16 etc and nothing seems to make any difference.
Any ideas what I’m doing wrong? The other options in the ini are working fine, such as the r.SkeletalMeshLodBias=-16 line for costume mods.
after testing it a bit, this mod has the same problem with 3DMigoto mods that is that they work in movies but not in game unless you turn the camera in strange ways.I made screenshots if I wanted. i hope you fix it but i will keep it installed anyway
ok I re-tested with the engine.ini of the linked video and set it to -16. Well if I start a new game let's say that it works "I have to really work very hard to get the soldiers back to normal and only in the photo mode, that if I change the angle or approach the camera it is deactivated and if I exit the photo mode the soldiers return with normal textures" . and if I load cap 8 the soldiers in the movie will flicker between mods and normal textures and then in battle they are normal and without mods. i definately replay the game from scratch with this mod and that's it since it's an essential mod in my opinion, even if a little baggy. Edit: even in the new game it takes a moment to load them but better than nothing
The problem is the .emov files. In the video when using the mod the SOLDIERs are white in a video cutscene like the Scarlet breaking news and Hojo laughing insanely that his reunion theory is going as planned.

EDIT: I think it works with.
I'm just having some weird shimmering if set to r.MipMapLODBias=" is set to -16, instead of 0.
