If your having trouble, its because of the mod loading order. Pak files starting with the letter "a" go first while "z" go last. Add any letter from "q" to "y" to the beginning of the cheap dress mod and for all mods from this author, put a z in front of each pak file name
Thanks for your kindness on providing the explanation on how the mod work. I extract "CheapDress" mod and "LilacSpringDress" mod at /pak. Then add "q" in front of "CheapDress" file, and "z" in front of "LilacSpringDress" file. Then it solve the issue, now my Aerith can have the beautiful dress.
Thanks! I posted my mod here: https://www.nexusmods.com/finalfantasy7remake/mods/269
I definitely know what you mean about the mapping. I exported the model to Blender, figured out that skin and clothes ("body") are all mapping to the same _C file, so I set both of those materials to point to that texture, and then used the UV editing tab to look at which parts of the mesh map to which parts of the texture. It's the same mapping for _C and _A, so I warped your grayscale alpha pattern to the part of the sexy dress alpha texture that I wanted to make see-thru.
Very cool to see what you've been able to do with just texture modding. Can't wait to see what happens once we can do mesh re-injections and stick a full mesh model underneath all the clothes, then make some parts semi-transparent using your trick.
