After the v1001 update, the GPU removal apparently caused by Directx12 improved, but it still happens in very elaborate animations (on my RX 7600). I noticed that replacing the original file "MV_TITLB_0010.emov" with the modified file makes the error more recurring. It's not a criticism in itself of the mod, in fact a compliment... perhaps? Because the MOD makes my game really exactly how I would like it to be, and I would like to keep it.... But I can't due to the crash and the removal of the GPU. 😭

Is it normal for video to systematically drop frames at regular intervals?Nvidia 4090 with 7800 x3D and 64gb of ram...

Same here (there are micro stutterer). I7-1300K + RTX 4080 + 64 GB RAM.

I'd rather watch the original, which doesn't stutter at all...

I'd imagine if you're running the game at 60fps, or 120fps without Gsync you're prob going to have that since they're 90fps videos.

sorry to say but i have no idea why it stutters for you. the vids of my mods are big maybe the cant load fast enough or are you on a hdd ? then this maybe the reason if yes (or maybe i heard of stutters of the game itself maybe? havent experienced that myself though). and if it doesnt work no matter what i am sorry to say that it is better to remove my mod if it doesnt work.

How did you do it? I tried making the same for all cinematics yesterday via topaz video ai, but the recap cinematic at 4k60 alone took almost 6 gigabytes while yours at 4k90 takes 3 times less space. For me it took about 65 minutes to render, so if you don't want to waste a lot of time, I can do other cinematics for you if you'll share your methodology. If not, I will wait for your versions. Nevertheless, awesome job.

Topaz does allow you to use different encoders.

well the method i use essentialy recodes the file to another format then i have to recode it back to the vp9 one. its a "hackintosh" like workaround i make that thats multiple hours to even make one file . and if we talk about space - yeah the end file is "only" 3gb but to get here i have to recode it to a temporary file that often takes around 40-60gb (and even destroys the audio and meta which i have remix into it from the original) to not lose much details in the recoding. so its a pain in the *** to do but hey its a workaround.

edit:hmmm it seams that the other vids of rebirth are somehow coded differntly then the recap and remake vids. seams i have to do an extra step in between eating up even more time and pc power... great just great ...
