Thanks. Can you also provide further information/differences between stages? Does stage 1 gives the best quality? I am not familiar with the 1024, 256 and 128 you mentioned in each stage.
Stages only include files of specific sizes. Stage 1 only has the largest textures from the game. Stage 2 would be anything considered medium, 3 small, 4 tiny.
i have a 8gb gpu and usually the game would sometime fill the vram, this mod made it so the game only need to use 7,6 gb of vram. the texture doesn't look terrible in the city, but the ground rock (the grassland) texture really looks mushy, altho it was quite mushy on the original texture even on high settings
3060 laptop with 6gb vram using stage 1-3, got me a stable 60fps on high settings 1080p dlss with 5.6 to 5.8gb vram usage max. could probably improve it by adding stage 4 but I'll try my luck first. will update if performance worsen on long gaming session. def worth it and a must have mod for lower end system. Thanks author.
put off trying this for a long time because I was sure it wouldnt be worth the quality drop but wow i am genuinely taken aback by how much performance it saves on high textures and how good it looks even just stage 1. def endorsed
wow, your mod is good sir. i used to use medium setting and my GPU (rtx 3070 and i5 gen 9th) is crying. And stutter in background is crazy too. Now i use high setting and everything is way smoother. So its actually makes the graphic is better too. Thank you
