I'm in the DIscord trying to get this answer, but I figured I'd ask you since you've clearly made the sort of changes I'm trying to before.
So I have the Equipment.uasset open in FF7 Data Editor, and I've identified that E_ACC_0211 row 163 is the Genji Gloves, and that Row 152 is the Ribbon. It's easy enough to change the stats, but I'm having trouble moving *effects* from one area to the other, as those appear grayed out.
I got the SkillEffectType_Array number 32 to replace one of the added effects on the Ribbon (either ReRaise or Beserk, I forget which), but that wasn't enough. I did see where there's also the SkillEffectTextInfoID_Array which the Genji Gloves have a SkillText_032 there, but it's grayed out. The Ribbon, meanwhile, has SkillText_136 also grayed out. I'm guessing those are the key?
But this program won't let me edit them. What did you use?
I don't remember very well everything as soon as I start another game I forget most of the technical details of each mod, there are too many that I have created, but everything that is TEXT only modifies the texts that are displayed nothing else. If you can't edit things try the FF7RebirthDataObjectEditor that I think was the one that allows you to make these changes.
It is possible that yes, For the moment I will not share more mods, sharing a lot of content with which the same group of users interact reduces the rewards (Donation Points) offered to the authors, it would be counterproductive to invest hours in something that I will not use.
Donation Points - How they work
The system has a diminishing returns aspect to it. After a certain number of interactions from the same user across all your mods, the value of these interactions drops drastically. It can and does drop to 0.
We reward authors for posting a variety of content that appeals to lots of different users. Consider diversifying the type of mods you make, or branching out into modding a different game that interests you.
Really what they wanted is to end with those who take advantage of the downloads of the collections, which included a handful of ridiculous mods of theirs in between to receive a lot of rewards without effort, the problem is that as they do not want to hire more people to manually manage the problem they have created this algorithm that does not differentiate between abuse and creators of active mods for game communities, it does not seem that they took into account the communities that do not belong to the 15 popular games of this platform as is the case of FFVIIR and in which 3000 authors do not create mods but all mods are created by the same 30~40 authors.
Conclusion if you are not a semi-professional programmer who creates very elaborate mods according to the new Nex0s canon in which it takes many months to develop and upload, your rewards will be much lower than what you used to receive if you create a lot of content that interacts with the same users.
I have just two questions: (1) if you ever get time in the future do you think its feasible to modify the ribbon to add stat boosts as well while maintaining the status resistances (e.g. +50 Defense & Spirit, similar to the Fortitude Ring) ?
(2) Does the effects of the modified ribbon remain after disabling the mod and closing, will it still let you have 4 double slots for weapon and armor materia?
1- It is possible to create any kind of modification in that sense, I have already created custom mods for some users.
2- When the mod is deleted everything returns to its vanilla state because the modified file no longer exists and the original file is reloaded, this type of mods usually work the same as a DLC and all changes disappear, sometimes the game may save some of the data in the saved game but it is not usual.
Hi everyone, just want to inform that this mod is not compatible with these 2 mods: - Hoarder - Max Stack Increase: https://www.nexusmods.com/finalfantasy7rebirth/mods/138 - Sell Armor (And More) - Hoard Stuff: https://www.nexusmods.com/finalfantasy7rebirth/mods/263
So make sure to enable only one of them at a time, e.g. you can: - disable hoarder - enable ribbon - buy ribbons -> save - disable ribbon - enable hoarder (your materials won't be gone even if it's more than 99)
Thanks for the mods btw Gantz79, your mods are the best.
Thanks for the info and the compliment, many people don't read the mod descriptions so they don't know that it's already written in all the mods that aren't compatible with those that modify the Item.uasset file.
It can be purchased and equipped, but it doesn't seem to have any effect? Just the 'stun' status alone can't be prevented… Did I misunderstand the Ribbon's ability to prevent all status ailments?
Can you do a similar one for all the Materia with limited availability? Fire/Ice, Lightning/Wind, Elemental, Magnify, Strength Up, etc... Make them 100K a pop as well so they're more of an end game item
That kind of mod would be something very laborious to make and it would cost many weeks, for the moment I don't plan to create something so complex but maybe someone is already working on something like that.
A mi solo me interesan las 2 elementales dobles y la materia de todos... el resto en realidad me la pela pero ok. Ojala este alguien haciendolo como dices... pero creo que leí de quien lo hizo en remake, que no tiene el juego y de momento pasa...
I tried to use this mod again today 2/20/2025 and I get the fatal error message as well. All the other mods I used from you have been working great so far. Hope the others you have made continue to work since I know you are done with making and updating mods on here. :(
Downloaded and tested the mod works fine in all versions, I will continue creating mods and updating them but now I will be less active and I will post them month by month so as not to be penalized by the new reward system.
Thanks for taking a look and testing it. It must be an issue on my side with a mod that is not compatible like the hoarder and sell all different class of items. I will uninstall some of those and check again later.
This seems really neat. I will download it as soon as I get my first legit Ribbon. Now all I want is someone to make a mod that makes Ribbons give all the positive effects of every other accessory, minus the revival earrings. Because I want to make my party into living gods
Well drat. At least my party will be equipped with pretty ribbons. They suit Cloud. I do wish the immunity to detrimental status effects included instant death. Death is a status!
For the moment I will not share more mods, sharing a lot of content with which the same group of users interact reduces the rewards (Donation Points) offered to the authors, it would be counterproductive to invest hours in something that I will not use.
