Still having trouble with this mod, not sure what is causing it to stop working. I don't have any other gameplay mods except for this one and it's not working. Do you know if the Change Party Leader mod that patches the .exe could be the problem?
Man im tempted to do this but the way the combat is in the game does not boad well for a stagger limit of 300 and stays there. pressuring enimies and staggering them with tifa then comboing them to increase stagger and then obliterate them with her and cloud comboed doing combos uhg. you did the one thing i want in this mod. fix the materia. but then you destroyed the atb gauge. i liked building it with hits please make a second version with atb being the same as vanilla pleeeeaassseee or just put crisis core materia in a seperate mod and let us have that hell firaga would be insane
Been playing with this and it's absolutely fantastic in combination with Most Combative mod and 2.5x health mod. The battles definitely take longer since you cannot spam ATB recharging abilities, but at the same time you are able to do far more with less time. I really enjoy this simple change and have always wanted it to be this way. You can defend, attack, survey the battle, and make your decisions more tactically instead of just spamming attacks constantly, just to heal yourself. It makes the combat true ATB! Must have mod.
Does this version of the mod ONLY effect the Classic Mode in the game? Also, a few suggestions to put it more in line with OG FFVII (If possible):
1. Remove the player's ability to control/move their party during combat 2. If possible, basic attacks, special commands, defending, dodging, and Synergy Skills should cost 1 ATB. (This might be a stretch, not sure how far modding can go.) 3. All other abilities/commands should cost 2 ATB.
OR, as an easier alternate:
1. Remove all real-time control over your party, i.e. now moving, no attacking, defending, etc. All of that is automated, similar to Classic Mode 2. Significantly increase the ATB charge rate.
This is with the goal in mind of making combat a more menu driven experience than it is a real-time one.

The "Classic" in the name of the mod is just a name, and the features of this mod will work regardless of what options you choose in-game

1. I do not know how to do this, and also i'm not sure if it's even possible 2 & 3. Everything mentioned is possible (except maybe basic attacks), and I know how to do them. While I personally would not play the game this way, I''m sure someone would prefer an almost entirely menu driven experience. Just don't expect an update for this any time soon

Are you talking about Party Mod Menu? No, I use that too and there is no conflict
