The value of r.Streaming.MaxTempMemoryAllowed is neither VRAM (GPU memory) nor system RAM. This value sets the Temporary Memory Buffer Size for texture streaming and refers to the memory pool size used when loading textures inside Unreal Engine. This modder is dumping incorrect Engine.ini information. The value of r.Streaming.MaxTempMemoryAllowed should not exceed 200.
The modder doesn't seem to have any knowledge of Unreal code. Other than combining things floating around on the Internet, there is no sign of any modifications made by the author himself.
You have to set that value in Engine.ini to apply it, so if you want to test it, do it. You can experience the phenomenon of game stuttering, startup, and game crashes. Also check the VRAM usage status. This modder has put incorrect values in Engine.ini and does not have basic knowledge of Unreal Engine code. This file is copied and pasted from other modders' Engine.ini.
Finally someone who understand... I've been debating this with another person on another "mod". It's nowhere near a mod. It's simply some files manipulations.. within the engine. Crazy to see people set it to numbers like 16k+ and then they wonder why some streamed textures looks like crap or don't load at all or even get crashes after a while because of the memory leak...
So if possible, Could you Link a Mod/.ini file i can download if there is a good one? I want to try to get more performance without cutting back on Noticeable Visuals Or perhaps even get more performance and make textures look better.
I have this issue in Act 3 where i have roughly 60 FPS but when i go near that little town that us under Junon near the Shinra checkpoint my FPS drops down to 30, that's a 50% FPS losts just for going near the city and i have a RTX 4070 and Ryzen 7 7800X3D playing at 4k with what is basically DLSS Balance and somehow i get 30FPS in that region like wtf and half of these textures look like melted plastic
so now anyone is going to come, upload an engine.ini file which could be writting on the description easily (which is empty), upload a random photo and put a tittle like "best settings", and thats all? this is what we will have here?
I agree with the criticisms mentioned in the other posts. This mod lacks a proper description, as it is extremely sparse. A legitimate mod description should always include installation instructions and a clear explanation of what exactly it changes—along with any relevant notes or tips. Additionally, the chosen image is completely unrelated to either the mod or the game, making it seem more like clickbait. I would recommend making the description more detailed and specific while also selecting a more appropriate image. Moreover, I also have to agree with the statement that this so-called "mod" appears to be nothing more than a collection of various pieces of information gathered from the internet, put together into something presented as an original mod. I’m not sure if Nexus actually supports this kind of practice.
This file is definitely copied and pasted from other modders' Engine.ini.

Considering a report seems to be a choice...
