Has anyone been able to try this with a RTX3070(8GB VRAM), 11400F and 16GB RAM? Textures look gooey on low and I cannot increase it without losing 60FPS performance. Running at 1440p.
I used to run a rtx 3070 and it was impossible to run high textures, even with heavy upscaling it simply wasn't possible. 8gb's of vram is sadly not gonna cut it + this mod. It's gonna end up crashing and stuttering more sadly
Would 16gb of vram from the 5070 ti be enough for this and all your other HD textures mods? I usually play on 1440p and it's probably fine for that but i'm not sure about 4K if 16gb is enough
Hi ive installed naturalfantasy + interiors + all 4k characters and my game freeze after a while, i have 5070 12gb R5 5600x 32gb ram, dont know if its a vram issue or if i need to tweaks engine INI. When i delete all mods my game work normaly.
I've noticed that this mod breaks LOD's and actually reduces detail of many rock textures around Under Junon. Made a few IMGSLI comparisons. This is completely vanilla environment vs this mod, no INI tweaks etc.
I have a few character texture upscale modes applied though.
well comment search is disabled so i cant check if anyones posted this but it could be this mod or the lod mod anyways the textures in costa del sol are floating in the air sorry if this isnt your mods fault yep unless its a conflict with LOD-fix optimized clairity your mod borks costa del sol sorry if its user error just letin you know incase its not
Just an FYI regarding the experimental settings. There are 3 that I troubleshooted as being the cause of my problems.
These 3 don't work and my card kept maxing out VRAM and stuttering as it had to dump assets (on an RTX 4090): r.Streaming.PoolSize=19000 (Adjust 80% your VRAM, try more if textures not loading in or less if you experience stutters) r.Streaming.LimitPoolSizeToVRAM=0 r.Streaming.UseFixedPoolSize=1
Solution: Just use r.Streaming.Poolsize=19000 (or whatever amount for your card). The other 2 lines prevent that cap from working. Delete them.
This value causes NPC faces to break: r.Streaming.PoolSizeForMeshes=4096
Solution: Value is set too high, which causes it to break, even on a 4090 and without VRAM being full. Using something lower like 2048 fixed the problem entirely.
for me poolsizefor meshes at 5000 still look alright, but for the best i think we just remove all the poolsize tweak and just adjust the streaming algorirthm
THANK YOU for posting this. The "ultimate engine tweaks" mod made my game run worse on a 4090 and caused texture streaming issues. By just using those two variables you posted, the game runs so much smoother now. Eliminate stuttering with this one weird trick! Doctors hate this!
This mod mostly focuses on texture upscaling, whereas Halk Hogan redesigns textures in a higher quality from the groundup if you look in the witcher 3 and other games. It would be a totally different job with different and much better results but it would take more time
