Extract the gaia.iro (if you using gaia all in one) and npc standalone files with the 7heaven iro tool (for iro file), then copy the contents of npc to the gaia.iro folder that has been extracted, overwrite all the files, then repack them into an .iro file and reinstall. Hope it work Iam using gaia all in one plus update 1.53 Work fine
unpack iro open 7heaven select tools - iro tools - unpack iro In source iro, select the iro file that will be extracted In the output folder, select the folder where the extract results will be go execution repack iro In source, select the file folder that will be repackaged On save iro, select the destination where the repack files will be placed go execution
Well, guys, maybe the modder didn't make it available in full, he uploaded a bit of the MOD to cause envy and problems for people, and didn't provide it in full to the community, because the scenery and effects are impossible to achieve, even with SYW and Project Edge installed (I tested them all).
I encourage you not to waste your time with this MOD, because besides this user BerZerker96 is making fun of you, you won't find videos with this MOD working like the 2 he posted (with scenery depth and brightness) on Youtube. Try searching and you'll see that there are only 2 videos by BerZerker96 and with comments disabled.
So like that I also tried to move some battle mods to battle.lgp by stacking the original file with the mod from here using the lgp tool and when tested it immediately closed :D then I tried the mod that I have and it runs smoothly I will try to move the mods here with my mod, hopefully it works :D. These mods do have to use 7th heaven then I tried to combine the gaia 1.5 mod with the latest update into one file with the iro tool from 7th heaven. so far it's smooth haven't found any bugs then I also tried to fix the model of the gaia mod which I'm sorry I think is lacking with the kimera tool. For the UI I haven't tried it maybe later after finishing editing some mods.
Thank you for the information. I have seen the video on YouTube. It is really amazing and it is a shame that the light effect was not shared with people.
I can only say this mod is amazing. I have made mods for Final Fantasy VII and remade existing models from other Final Fantasy series. but this mod is really amazing, it's great... :)
If you unpack the .iro, delete the files with names ending in '_nml.dds', repack it and then readd it to 7th heaven then the normal maps won't be there anymore.
FOR ANYBODY WHO WANTS TO USE ENEMIES/SUMMONS/BOSSES ONLY AND FIX HOVERING CLOUD/TIFA/CID ON WORLD MAP WHILE USING DIFFERENT MAINS MODELS. (ALSO A WORK AROUND FOR CHOCOBO TEXTURE GLITCH, KINDA.)
(I must stress that this is not a dig on the author, its great work and i wouldnt of put this much effort in if i didnt appreciate it! <3)
I personally didnt like the models for the mains/npc's/world. But wanted to use enemies/summons/bosses as this is the only mod that fully retexures everything. I had also read that chocobo textures arent working as intended (all chocobos are textured yellow out of battle regardless of what type they are.) Also in the 1.5 main pack, enemies/bosses/mains are all put together under one setting, so mains cant be simply turned off by themselves. The 'summons stand alone' pack just straight up didnt work for me, I also had the glitch on the world map with cloud/tifa/cid hovering when using different mains models.
The files that make cloud/tifa/cid hover are in the '1.5 remaster' pack and the 'Bosses stand alone' pack. I dont know why those files are in the 'bosses stand alone' pack at all, but they are. Maybe something to do with Weapon? not sure. Cloud/tifa/cid hover because the mains models used in the '1.5 remaster' pack are taller on the world map, so the hover is to componsate for that. If you use different mains models/textures, it causes the glitch. The mod author didnt give much of a description on how to fix any of this on the bug report page and i didnt have a clue where to start, through trial and error i managed.
This guide will fix the cloud/tifa/cid hover glitch while using different mains models and only uses enemies/Bosses/Summons textures. You can leave other settings turned on in the '1.5 remaster' mod if you want to but the 'World' and 'Field' settings causes the chocobo texure issue. I dont know how to fix that directly so i leave that setting turned off. But i do have a work around (kinda) as to not be stuck with vanilla chocobos.
How i fixed it;
1- Download the full '1.5 Remaster' pack, 'Enemies standalone' pack and the 'Bosses standalone' pack. Unzip all 3 to anywhere you like (i will use desktop for example)
2- Import the unzipped 'Enemies Standalone' pack to 7th heaven by clicking 'Import mod' > 'Import from IRO, then select this file. (This pack has no issues, as far as im aware.)
3- With the unzipped 'Full 1.5' pack, Make an empty folder in the same place you unzipped the 1.5 pack, call it whatever you like. I called it 'Gaia edit'
4- Open 7th heaven mod manager, click on 'Tools' > 'IRO Tools'
5- Click on the second tab 'Unpack IRO', Select the unzipped 1.5 pack IRO from your desktop as 'Source IRO'. Select the folder you just made (Gaia edit) as the 'Output folder'.
6- Select 'Go' then wait for the process to finish. DO NOT PRESS GO AGAIN BY ACCIDENT LIKE I DID ONCE COMPLETED.
7- Once it has finished, the mod will be unpacked in the folder you made. (Gaia edit) Open the folder, Go into 'animation 1' > 'World'.
8- Delete all the files that end with '.a', leave the capitalised files that end with '.A' (This is what fixed hovering cloud/tifa/cid)
9- Back out to the main directory, Go into 'animations 2' > 'World'.
10- Same as before, delete all the files that end with '.a', leave the capitalised files that end with '.A' (This is what fixed hovering cloud/tifa/cid)
11- Go back to 7th heaven, go to 'Tools' > 'IRO Tools'
12- Leave it on the first tab, 'Pack IRO'. Select the folder you made (Gaia edit) as your 'Source folder'. The 'Save as IRO' option is the location your altered IRO will be saved, i selected desktop. Call the IRO file whatever you like, i called it 'Gaia Patch'. Leave the 'Compress' option as 'Nothing'.
13- Select 'Go' then wait for the process to finish. DO NOT PRESS GO AGAIN BY ACCIDENT LIKE I DID ONCE COMPLETED.
14- Once completed, you should have a new IRO file with the name you gave it (Gaia patch), Import that file to 7th heaven like mentioned in step 2. It may look stuck at one point when uploading but just leave it, dont click while its uploading, it may crash. When the file has finished uploading to the 7th heaven mod list, if is called 'Gaia-VII remaster' and has mod options, it has uploaded correctly. (If it is called what you named the file, delete from mod list and delete the IRO file you made, then go back to step 11.)
15- Go to 'Configure mod', Turn off EVERYTHING except 'summons', leave animations as 'Static'. This is my work around to make summons work as the standalone file is broken for me.
16- With the unzipped 'Bosses standalone' pack, you want to repeat steps 4 through 6 with a different empty folder, call the new folder whatever you want. I called it 'Gaia boss edit'.
17- Once completed, open the file and go into 'Bosses' > 'World'
18- select the 'file' tab on windows explorer until 'A file' type is at the top.
19- Delete all the files that end with '.a', leave the capitalised files that end with '.A' (This is what fixed hovering cloud/tifa/cid)
20- Repeat steps 11 through 14, i called this new IRO file 'Gaia boss patch'. When the file has been uploaded to 7th heavens modlist, it should be called 'Gaia VII - Bosses'. if so it has uploaded correctly.
You should now only have enemies/bosses/summons and fixed the overworld cloud/tifa/cid hovering glitch. Im using Nano style battle/HD as the mains/field textures. (This is the textures chocobo's will be out of battle. Chocobo in battle/Chocobo summons will be Gaia as intended.) The texture sytle for human bosses are a mismatch but its better than vanilla and only appear in battles. Use whatever you like, this is just my personal preference and i know it works.
I tested all this with the 1st scorpion robot boss and had a save outside the chocobo ranch to check the chocobo textures/test the 1st summon. So far all working as intended. Also all of this was tested with the 60FPS mod turned on! so you wont need to go back to 30! (thankfully, would be a deal breaker personally.) Ive not gone through the whole game yet to test this is working 100%, i will post again when i have. I hope this helps somebody/anybody!
P.S Again. i must stress that this is not a dig on the author, its great work and i wouldnt of put this much effort in if i didnt appreciate it! <3
Excellent guide, thank you so much for this! I was wondering if it was possible to delete all the other stuff from the Gaia Edit folder and just leave the summons and animations folders, this way this mod isn't so heavy. Also, I would like to keep the character bosses with Ninostyle mod but all the others skinned with this mod, is that possible?
Ive attempted this myself but it requires a lot of effort. There is thousands of files and without knowing which ones to delete, it would be a case of going through one by one and testing to see if its the correct file... its far too much work for what its worth im afraid.
Also im not sure on deleting the other files, it may break the mod config menu.
The mod author might know which files need to be deleted, but they seem to have abandoned the mod/dont reply very often.
