PSA: the mod author is currently aware of and is working on the issue with some music tracks not playing. In the meantime, here is a temporary fix:
Copy (not cut/move) the contents of FINAL FANTASY VII\data\music_ogg, and paste them into FINAL FANTASY VII\music\vgmstream. The vgmstream folder should only have a config.toml file before doing this.
The problem happens because of the funky way that FFNx is loading and replacing files.
Here are two suggestions for updates now that Rebirth is out on PC:
Could the configuration menu for the mod also have the option to be arranged BY SCENE (from the OG) rather than by track? (That way it's easier to pinpoint which scene has which track playing over it?)
Also, might I suggest that this Phase from the JENOVA Lifeclinger track be used at the bottom of the Northern Cave, when the party finally enters the Junction and is fighting the Iron Giants on the floating platforms? Phase starts at 7:54
If you ever updated ReMusic with music from both FF7 Remake and Rebirth, would it be possible to include choices for different versions of the theme, as well as a choice to simply include the OST version? For example, against Jenova*Birth, you could include choices between Jenova Dreamweaver, Jenova Emergence and Jenova Lifeclinger themes, and the original version. And against Sephiroth during the final battle, you could include choices between Remake, Rebirth and original versions.
Mod is great! No issues compatibility wise so far, but I am sad that there's no music in Junon. The parade theme is one of my favorites! I don't know if there's no remake track for it or not, but honestly the classic would be just fine :P There seems to be no music playing in a few parts of the game so far. When I was in Shinra headquarters and also the mythril mine after Zolom and before fort condor. Edit: other areas with no music Ship from junon to cosa Corel prison Chocobo racing Bugenhagen's solar system contraption Vincent's theme
Thank you. Found out the issue is that it conflicts with Shinra Archaeology Cut. However if I put the Remusic mod in front, it won't use the newly translated script from the SAC mod.
This mod is great. Originally I thought about playing through the original game with the original score, but I love the Remake and Rebirth music too much especially with the various battle themes. I'm looking forward to this mod being updated with Rebirth's music score.
Hi, I downloaded just this mod alone and it doesnt work. I know the echo-s will have conflict, so i disabled it but I still couldnt get it to work. Is there something I didnt do properly or missing something that requires another mod? thank you
There is nothing you have done wrong, there was a hiccup in recent version of FFnX that caused this mod to no longer function. I have updated the mod to address those updates and if you update the mod and FFnX to the latest canary, it should now function as expected.

hopefully someone will make a mod filled with songs from like the 2000's or 2010's but for now this works.
Is there a compatible version with new threat 1.5?
