Very cool. Is this in any way connected to this project?: https://forums.qhimm.com/index.php?topic=13368.0
I'm interested in modding FF7 animations, but don't quite know where to begin. Is there a tutorial of some sort anywhere?
What software did you use (Kimera?), etc.

This mod is not affiliated with that project. That is a very old mod the community refers to as the 'idle breathing mod'.  It has quite a few issues and therefore was never turned into a convenient mod package for users to install.

I am not aware of any tutorials for modding FF7's models and animations, the only advice I can give is to join the Discord channel on the readme, grab all the modding tools related to your task, tinker with them and ask about very specific things you get stuck on.

I do indeed use KimeraCS (a custom fork of Kimera) for all the animations I create/mod.

OK thanks the the reply. What is the Discord called?

I've been looking at KimeraCS. So I'm guessing you manually edit joint/bone rotation in KimeraCS frame by frame?

Also been looking into the Maya import/export plugins.
Importing field animations works like a dream, but I don't think the plugin can export field animations (.a files, if I'm correct). Or at least I can't get it to work at the moment.

However, rigging and animating the characters in Maya is possible. The bone XYZ rotation information is maintained in Maya, even when baking a new animation, so in theory there could be a way to automatically go frame by frame and copy that information from Maya to KimeraCS. But that's the worst case scenario I can see for workflow.

It is called Tsunamods, if you have this mod highlighted in 7th Heaven before you start the game there is some info text on the left.  If you find the Readme: section and click it the readme will pop up with the mod info and link to join Tsunamods. (The link is also available at tsunamods.com but my link takes you straight to my channel there called #Reanimation) I just tried to upload it to the 'Docs' section but for whatever reason it isn't working, so it will also be there whenever that feature starts working again.

Any discussion, questions or comments not directly related to this mod definitely need to be done on Discord, as I need this section to serve as an FAQ for people browsing this mod and it cannot serve that purpose if there's any in-depth discussion not even related to the mod.

Roger that, and thanks. Feel free to delete the comments if you want a clean comment section.
