Thank you very much for making this mod, and updating it so it works with v1.1.1 (which broke most other previous mods and tools.) The experience now matches the original game from what I can tell.
Is there any chance you could do this for the other 5 FF PR games in the future as well? Or if it is possible to easily adapt this mod to the other titles, maybe some steps that we could try to follow to do that?
It still baffles me that they made the mini map function in such an obnoxious way in these PR releases, without giving players a choice to keep it permanently on or off.
Hey there! Well, I plan on picking up the other PR games on the future to mess around with, so, when I get to it, i will probably try to remove the obnoxious minimap for them as well. As for an adaptation of the mod, I don't know exactly how it would be done, but supposing the file structure is the same for the other games, you could try using a .bundle extractor to find where the minimap scripts of the respective game are localized and then maybe try altering some lines to see how the game will react. Sorry for the very poor explanation, I'm not really good at explaining this kind of thing, and not knowing how the other PR files are structured makes it kinda hard to know what exactly need to be done. Thanks for appreceating the mod, and be sure that, in the future, I will try to get the other PR games this minimap removal as well.
Thank you. Great mod. The only version that was available before yours was on M&M, and it either removed all the maps or the town/dungeon maps while also breaking the world map (removing the location arrow). This is perfect as the original game had the world map for chocobo and airship navigation.
Can't this already be toggled when not in the overworld? I know it just shrinks in the overworld, but could have sworn it could be toggled with the start button or keyboard equivalent. Then again, I'm speaking of FF5PR, so 6 may be different.
