If you are getting reports from your anti-virus that the fix is flagged as Trojan.Wacatac or something similar, it is a false positive. You can add the file as an exception in your anti-virus (i.e Windows Defender) and it will not be deleted/quarantined again. If you have concerns about the fix's safety, you can check the VirusTotal report for the latest version. You can also see the full source code at the GitHub repository.
PLEASE READ BEFORE INSTALLING: As of this comment, makes FFXVI unplayable.
When you inject the game with this mod: regardless what is enabled or disabled (Tested on RTX 5080) - you will get hit every few minutes with "The GPU will not respond to more commands" error forcing you out of the game.
Supposedly there are drivers you can roll back to and it works. But I don't want to waste my time on that.
No disrespect to the mod author. It's not their fault.
In case someone only wants the 30FPS lock removed from cutscenes, I can report that the first (as in oldest) version of this mod still works for that with the current version of FFXVI. I know because I recently reinstalled the game for NG+, and I had never deleted or updated the mod since day 1, so it came along. Still getting 60FPS cutscenes. No crashes or anything else out of the ordinary. I have the latest NVIDIA drivers at the time of writing (576.52).
Can't say whether any of the other features work, though.
The uncapped FPS works however the cutscenes will drop from the locked 60 I've set it at to like 10 at seemingly random spots pretty constantly. Is there a way to enable frame gen for only cutscenes? I have a 5070ti and the game runs perfectly without frame gen with dlss quality enabled at 4k on my TV and the cutscenes work for the most part but the random frame drops are really annoying and sometimes the scenes freeze for a good second or 2.
Just stumbled upon this mod today and everything was going fine until i save in Lostwing and decided to close the game to change some settings and when i tried to load back in the game instantly froze. Once i deleted this mod game loaded in with no issues
I had that same issue. I thought it was just because i switched GPUs but hearing that other people has had this issue may mean this mod needs an update
for some reason the dinput8.dll causes my game to not open, "an unexpected error has occurred. exiting FINAL FANTASY XVI." and without the file, the fix doesnt work, tried changing its name also but to no avail. what can i do???

And the GitHub Page is gone? What's that all about?
Mod Author said on another page that they are in contact with GitHub support.
