Your reshade removed my issues of FF16 being washed out in bright scenes and too dark in dimly lit scenes, to a well balanced, vibrant masterpiece. I have an HDR display and it was easy to use your presets as a template to dial things in just right. I'd tried the same using Nvidia filters but they crashed the game repeatedly. Agreed this is one of the best reshades I've seen in a game to date!
It's odd that SE has built-in HDR but no in game sliders to fine tune it :( Couldn't thank you enough.
Thank you! That's exactly what I was going for - just a little more balance and clarity for what's already a great looking game. I'm really glad it could make your experience a little bit better. Have an awesome day!
Just wanted to say, thank you for making what is probably the best out of the box Reshade preset I've downloaded from this site. I turned down the sharpening a bit just out of personal preference, but it was by no means overdone as you set it -- unlike a vast majority of the presets I've checked out on here.
No notes, simply improves the look of the game, 10/10
Very very good joob, this game needed it ! Just a think, I find the reshade a little dark , something to change that without modifying monitor setup ? I see the post about 'technicolor 2' but I'm not satasfied with it
Anyone have suggestions on which Reshade is best or I should use when playing with HDR on LG CX OLED? Currently using Natursl Colors mod with Reshade as well as Prod80. I see a lot of different shade mods and onsite which to use.
Hi, i am not sure what i did wrong, when i try to load the ini file none of the effects are ticked for me. I was also trying out other reshade preset so I ended up downloading all the effects during the setup, but still it showed nothing when i switched to your preset whilst the other preset worked for me.
I managed to fix it!! I redownloaded the file and extracted it to the game folder, plus reinstalling reshade. Think the original file may be corrupted or sth. Still trying out the shader but so far it's looking absolutely stunning. Appreciate your work!!! <3
I haven't tested it on a proper HDR10 display but yes, I'd disable it because it will probably look way too dark with FakeHDR. The other effects won't be affected if you disable it.
Nice reshade, however there is no and never will be a reshade "Like HDR" Actually incresed brightness levels beyond the nits of standard hardware with broader range cannot occur with a reshade. You can tonemap sure ish but calling that HDR is simply not accurate or honest. The only way to be "LIKE HDR" Is to have an actual HDR display with high enough brightness for ample range (700 nits+ or oled with less) its beyond painful when people lie about high dynamic range and what it is for more downloads. There is also no need, this is a solid reshade.
If it came off like I was saying this is an HDR reshade, that's not at all what I intended. The FakeHDR effect simply tries to mimic the look of HDR on standard dynamic range displays. When I said it "attempts to bring deeper blacks, similar to HDR", I meant specifically the appearance of deeper blacks.
Sorry about that Vita, i misread your intentions, this has been done by several Reshade creators in the past however that defend the idea reshades can replicate HDR. Thanks again for the reshade.
