Hey OP, I am wondering, same thing was applied in FF Type-0 HD on Steam. Do you know any mods for that game that can do the same as this one? Unlocking free camera at the gallery?
I haven't looked, but presumably it would be done in a similar way, just with a very different file format as this was done in their custom game engine Luminous.
Hi, that mod is from editing a collection of game scripts and not found within the games .win32.bins files.
Bins files are already an existing file format the game uses, like a database of data that we cant really edit easily, it just happens that we occasionally find how some of the values works. Game scripts are .ebex / .exml files that Flagrum converts to a standard .xml for us, then converts back to .exml and repacks the .earc files that contain each edited game script.
oh sorry, if your question was only to see if can i make a version without Flagrum, I *can*, just unlikely too. Flagrum just makes the proccess of making the mods so easy, that it adds a considerable amount of time and effort to make manual install versions. I only bothered with non-flagrum versions for a few mods while Flagrum had a bug that prevented mods targeting .bins files from working for certain users. But since that bug was fixed with 1.5.18 version of Flagrum, that reason is gone and will be unlikely to make non-flagrum version... granted I am also available for comissions and would be happy to spend the time converting mods if requested.

Edit: Thanks OP. The mod worked.
Thanks.
