Is it possible/What happens if you replace him with lets say: Cor, and then add him to the party as a follower? Will he be hostile towards the party or act friendly and attack enemies along with you?
For anyone looking for other enemies to add, go to the character folder (within the datas folder) and look through the folders there. Some seem to contain assets for environments but you can find most enemies in that folder, including Royal Edition and DLC NPCs. For example, summons and special bosses are in the "bo" folder. Then replace their addresses like normal.
Obviously, spawning NPCs without proper combat AI won't result in much happening. But, like Regis, enemies from other DLCs like Gilgamesh, human Ravus, and so on should work somewhat correctly.
Did you read the explanation? See the link for "Learn more about how to replace enemies." There are some videos. Follow the English tweet link for instructions on how to replace enemies. Another Japanese tweet also fights with Bahamut. Just watch the video and you will know that it is possible to fight Bahamut.
I have already posted the link, so please make an effort to get the information from there first.
It's hard for me to answer because I have no idea what (or whose) fighting chance you are referring to. This Regis is a transplanted combat AI from Regis in Episode Ardyn. This is possible because the core of the Regis model is the same, but because it is a transfer, it is not perfect.
If a character has an enemy-attribute combat AI, replacing it with a monster will result in combat. The link in the explanation column is in Japanese (the administrator of that site wrote the explanation in Japanese for us Japanese), but the original source of the information is a tweet in English, and the site also has a link to that tweet. If you are really interested, follow the link and read the explanation.
Wow, he's pretty well-designed, there's the physics of the clothes and hair, the facial expressions that work. And we, if I'm not mistaken, do not see him at all during the game, except for the encyclopedia and being dead at the end of the game.
The Old Regis used the same BORN as Regis in Episode Ardyn, so it worked fine. The physics of the costumes are a little lax, but I think that the models are not originally designed for intense movements, so it can't be helped. It seems that the physics are set to some extent when the model is created, and the physics of Noct childhood's Regis, whom we never meet in the game, are also set properly.
