Hello. So I think Steam is screwing up how mods are installed cause I subbed to all these mods and there the only weapon mods I subbed too and when I go into game it's as if the last character to the right's weapon takes dominance over the other characters to the left in the weapons menu.If I give Prompto the Lucian Assassin Guns then Ignis Lucian Assassin Daggers, Gladiolus Lucian Assassin Greatsword and Noctis Lucian Assassin Blade all have the model and texture of the Lucian Assassin Guns. If I give Prompto another weapon one from just the base game then the Lucian Assassin Daggers from Ignis does the samething to Gladiolus and Noctis main weapon but with Noctis it's just the Lucian Assassin Blade and so-on. Anyway I want to try a manual install and try that. The only problem is I don't know where the Mods folder is in the directory, could you tell me where it is please and thank you.
The mod folder: [wherever your Steam is installed]\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\637650
However, as already answered several times below, this has nothing to do with Steam and a manual install won't help you. It's an old mod bug that SQEX never resolved even after years. Try equipping some default weapons first for each bro (maybe one by one), use those, and then switch to the modded ones. It helped solve the bug for me.
If you have the game on Steam, try subscribing to the mods there. Steam should download them for you. If you don't have the folder, I expect Steam will create it. Or create it manually yourself.
Hey Elisa, can I make a small personal request? I'll pay via Paypal. You can DM me on nexus, or I'll DM you. I'll pay first. Was thinking maybe like $5-$10? Just a small personal request, but I first need to know the answer to my last question written at the very bottom.
I want the modifiers on the weapons like spirit, vitality, strength, etc. removed. I only want the attack stat on them, but can you re-tune the balance for the weapons for all weapons after removing the modifiers? I want them all to be equally strong in DPS. Also, are there any hidden modifiers on the weapons?
I am going to play with a "Cheat Table" to adjust the enemy hp accordingly as I level up so that it's more balanced for myself when I use these weapons the entire playthrough in New Game (first playthrough). Will this make the damage from other sources like link strikes and stuff feel too awkward in proportion to the modded weapon strength? Is the link strike based upon Noctis' weapons or...? How does it work?
I do not count DPS and I do not know the answer to your combat-related questions. If you want to discuss combat mechanics, I suggest you ask someone who focuses on that like Asetoni on YT. Or join the FFXV discord. Toni is a member there and there are more people who can help you as well. I'm not willing to go do research about the game mechanics for other people tho.
If you get your answers and still want me to edit the stats, we can talk about that afterwards. If I apply no modifiers, the modding tool from SQEX allows to set the attack to max ranging between 310-342, depending on the type of weapon. If by "equally strong in DPS" you mean you want them all to have the same attack, then I suppose it'll have to be 310 as that's the cap for daggers. I can remove all modifiers except 10 vitality for shields. That seems so be pre-set as default. Also note that the modding tool allows no standalone machinery so I can only replace the existing default ones and they'll retain their own stats.
If daggers has 310 attack and a greatsword has 310 attack. Will they be doing the exact ame damage per hit or something? Or do greatswords have some sort of innate hidden modifier that gives them extra damage? Not sure how it works
I don't know if this is an issue with my game or if there are some extra steps I need to take but I downloaded this from steam concerning the response you gave to the bottom commenter and the weapons only appear to show their proper models when used by Noctis. Do I have to download yours as well to use on the other 3?
The files here on Nexus are exactly the same as those on Steam. If you're running into the bug that makes various modded weapons show up as the same model/skin, I replied about that to someone literally yesterday. Try equipping some default weapons first, use those, and then equip the modded ones and switch to them. SQEX never resolved this bug.
These weapons look RIDICULOUSLY GOOD like wtf... Did you actually make these yourself? I gave an endorse as well.
My big question is how balanced are these weapons with each other? What I mean is, is the damage output similar for all weapons? For example, I don't want the Lucian greatsword to have a significantly larger DPS output than the daggers. I just want ALL weapons to be viable and very similar in DPS output.
Source of the models as well as the stats are in the description. People on steam wanted op weapons so I tried to give all the weapons similarly high attack stats while adding some small unique modifiers.
when i add this mods to my list and equip it, all characters use the same skin. every gamestart they use another skin when attacking. but the stats are the right weapons
It's an old mod bug that SQEX never resolved even after years. Try equipping some default weapons first, use those, and then switch to the modded ones. It helped solve the bug for me. Alternatively, old FFXV modders always advised to disable some weapon mods in the menu so you wouldn't have so many active at once, hence a smaller chance of interference.
If you have the Steam version, you extract the numbered folders from the zip to the mod folder: [wherever your Steam is installed]\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\637650
For the codex version, extract directly to [wherever you have the game installed]\FINAL FANTASY XV\items
If you're on steam, then why not just subscribe to the mods on steam? https://steamcommunity.com/workshop/filedetails/?id=2575635364 Steam will download them and place the files into the correct folder for you.
Second, make sure that when on title screen you click that pink "Mod" and go to the weapon mod list, all of these mod are ticked as active. Also, don't go over the mod limit tho I don't expect that's your case.
Lastly, if by any chance different weapon mods show up instead of these, try equipping a default weapon first, use that, and then equip the modded one. Should help solve the glitch.
If none of that works, I don't know what's wrong on your end.

but I don't know which folder to add these files to install
the platform is steam! please
If you have the game on Steam, download from there and the mods will automatically be downloaded to the correct folder.

No idea about other versions of the game.
