Can you please tell me if it is possible to install these textures as a normal mod? How do you do it? I read all the comments, everywhere they write that this is a collection of textures for moding. But I also saw that someone still puts them as a mod, to improve quality. Tell me how to do it. It's just that I'm not very good at it. For earlier thanks to those who will help.

Head over to face defined. This was the Alpha version of that mod missing most of the assets and that is the completed mod.

gotta second on that, I'm pretty used to modding but am fairly new to textools and such, I usually find my way around but here I just have no goddamn clue what I'm meant to do even when reading the installation tutorial, seems either very tedious or just confusing

So the core functionality of this is to be modder resources in order for which to create with. The old mod that for some reason everyone still uses for some reason is the ancient 2k facelift mod which isn't actually 2k. These resources CAN be installed onto your character to slightly improve the overall quality however they are lacking the matching normal maps and specular maps which I have been working on up till now and am nearing completion. Once all 3 parts for all races and genders are complete they will be used in a massive mod we are currently working on that will when installed in full correct all Hair, beards, eyelashes, eyebrows, race tattoo markings, Viera ears, faces, tails and eyes. Basically a merger of the faces and new eyes with hair defined which I was integral in helping to create. The final project should be completed in the next month or so as creating the modpack wizard with all the various options for easy install is very time consuming. And doing all of it on my own time amidst college work doesnt lend a great deal of time in which to devote to the project daily. The one thing I have over most if not all of the modders out there today is the fact that I dont have a patreon/paid sub service and any custom mods I make for people which is TONS I never charge for. I was there at the start of modding and was one of the modders who helped get XIV modding started back in late 2017 early 2018. There is no laziness involved here since these were intended as modder resources and I felt the need to release a collection of all of them for people to work with. The au ra textures themselves were compiled into the HD3 mod and the Male au ra complete mods so those ARE ttmps. And if anyone wants working copies of the faces with the new normals and speculars all one has to do is message me and ask and I would be more than happy to give them a copy. Also keep in mind that for pretty much most of 2018 there was no such thing as ttmps and ALL mods were manual installs. Some mods literally used to take a good hour to install. Once our final project is complete it will literally be the only mod you would need to download.

glad to hear a followup on that, the mod just looks amazing it was genuinely frustrating not being able to use it
I'm definitely looking foward for that compiled mod you mentioned, thanks for the input and good luck with the remaining

That said everything is almost done. Rough count of everything that had to be fix and ported is upwards of 424 textures for the faces and eyes. Finding time to do everything these days can be a bit tricky though. Between college work and other projects and spending hours every day in personal dm's on discord training various new modders and answering questions of others, essentially giving up all of free time to assist others I have been working on the bigger project here and there when I have the extra time and energy. I do all of this because I enjoy creating for the community and I honestly expect nothing in return. With everything else that is wrong with me I sometimes wonder why I still do what I do lol. Then I remember that if I don't do it then no one will.

It took me less than ten minutes to import all the maps, and I am not a programmer. It's not rocket surgery my dude, this is a resource mod.

FYI the FULL mod of this was released days ago now. Go grab the Face defined mod. It has the matching Normal maps and speculars to go along with it. Overall the FULL mod has something close to 517 assets in there. As for the included NPC assets I tossed into here for people to play with, those will eventually get removed in a couple months as I have taken the project back up and am reworking it from the ground up. The overall quality has been increased from the original design and previews are available on our patreon server which is free to join and look at previews/talk. Support of the patreon is never required.

Hey, saw your mods (HD Rework for Au Ra, this one and the one for Au Ra male) and I just love them, the only one that are a real HD and not a blurry thing and that keep default colors and shapes, details etc... But I noticed on Au Ra male pack https://www.xivmodarchive.com/modid/12777#info that the textures (at least on c1301b0001_d.dds) are less detailed than the one from the Body, less "defined" and less noise too (maybe for the skin pores I guess) :

I don't know if that's normal, but it's like The Body textures but blurred out with the HD scales

so the scales at are more detailed which is the key. The skin textures itself are the ones directly from the body but fixed up to work with the normal and specular. the body core textures aren't necessarily more detailed. There aren't really more pores shown. Look at the toe nails as an example. on the core body textures you can see and or count the pixels. On the new ones they are gone. My HD process corrects and removes a lot of the artifacting and pixelization that exists in base textures.

This one is designed around modder resources. If you want the complete body grab my HD Reworks 3 for female or my HD Au Ra Male mod. Those are all the Au Ra files packaged together.

So I opened photoshop and pasted your HD Aura scales over default which I exported with Textools and then saved the result as "8.8.8.8 ARGB.bmp". Problem is now when I try to Import that BMP I get the message "Error loading unmanaged library from path: FreeImage.dll"

Do you know how to fix this? Or am I doing something wrong in the process?

2 things for that..... for the HD scales, what did you try to paste them over face or body wise? I now incorporate these better scales in my HD reworks 3 for females and my HD au ra males. Installing both of those mods will save you a ton of headache. IF you are pasting them over your favorite "makeup" or other face mod you have to save them as 8.8.8.8 ARGB.DDS not BMP you need like 2-3 other separate files in your textools sub directory for it to be able to import bmp files.

I was trying to use it on female bodies. I never modded FFXIV before so most of your mini tutorial on the main page went over my head. I didn't know I needed extra files for that since the tutorial section in TexTools page doesn't say anything (not that I found anyway).
The only mods I have are a few face textures from you, Hair Defined and Owl's Eyes of Eorzea so for faces there .
I'll be using your other Au ra mods then. Thanks!

I'm spoiled by your mods. Can't wait for the rest of the faces to be completed. Thank you for your work!
