Hey everyone! I've added a new update that hopefully fixes the eye shine issues. Keep me posted if the issue persists. I had to change the normalmaps. Hope it worked!
Edit: Illy's Catchlight is no longer available. My mod can still be used without it and it was only a recommended mod and it is not needed.
I will be doing a fully updated version of the mod hopefully by the end of January. All of my raw textures are available for anything that is broken and you can manually install the textures yourselves until I can get things fixed.
My house caught fire last year and I've been recovering from that most of this year. Things are finally settling down though so hopefully they smooth out soon.
just curious here, this doesn't mess with Limbal Rings on Au ra does it? I think that's what they're called lol. I couldn't find a picture in the gallery that showed the rings so I figured I'd ask here instead. cheers and have a nice day :)
I won't be able to do the update for a while due to personal problems and I can't play FFXIV right now. Anyone is welcome to use my textures however they like as long as they credit me. Sorry!
So I wanted to give a little update on what's been going on. My tablet that I had been using to draw my eye textures broke, big ol crack along the center of the screen. Thankfully I've already ordered a new one and it's on the way. Revitalizing my textures is taking longer than I imagined due to a lot of personal drama cropping up but it's slowly getting there. Until then, as always, I have my raw textures for anyone to use freely as they wish as long as I am credited. ^.^
Absolutely love this work, and hoping for a swift recovery for all your issues. All the different eyes look gorgeous - I only had one reservation, it's a really small thing. I was wondering if you'd be able to edit the Hrothgar eyes for the Lost to have slit pupils instead of circular, lion-like pupils.
Don't know how time-consuming it would be - I'd just appreciate knowing if it was doable. If the Helions and the Lost could have the slight difference in eye shape like how the default eyes handle it. If so, it'd be awesome to see them come to life :3
Big fan of the mod as well! But I have exactly the same problem as the other poster. It just won't apply to my Face 1 fem Midlander. Not sure if there's any way to do or fix this manually for me.
I was just able to check it and yeah, somehow I missed that one by accident. I'll do an updated file soon. It have to manually package and put together these files and it can be easy to miss a single face out of the near 100 I'm overhauling. xD

No I haven't had a chance to. I'm hoping to completely overhaul the mod at some point early next year. Best I can say for now is that all of my raw textures are available and you can manually install whatever is broken yourself.

So I am completely new to using mods - I've finally figured out how to get the modpack into TexTools, but from there I am lost. I don't know how to choose which ones I want or apply it to my character. Is there a How-To-Mod For Dummies? Any help is appreciated lol
I would suggest going to the official Textools discord and asking for help there. There are a lot of very friendly people who would be more than willing to show you the ropes. I believe they also have some guides there.

I've been using this mod for years, but it's upsetting that hrothgar have gotten all screwed up thanks to the latest patch. The fix mentioned in the sticky doesn't work.
It seems like Hrothgar eyes aren't working anymore with this mod? Possibly due to 6.1 and their weird hair changes. I tried uninstalling all my other mods, and it was still not working despite being the only mod installed.
Otherwise, love this mod to death! Thank you for this hard work!

I miss his lion eyes so much, I was absolutely confused as to why they were suddenly back to slits again. A friend also reported that their Hrothgar alt didn't have the lion eyes as well but it worked for their main and other raced characters.
Just a little update but I tried to manually install the DDS file you gave as an option for individual races and that still didn't seem to do anything.
Not sure if its just a problem on my end but I figured I'd offer that much insight up that it might either be me doing something wrong or the eyes just hate the Hrothgar (both are valid).
Yeah I've been trying to re-create the problem and I haven't been able to. Even did a fresh install of my own mods just to fully test them and the eyes are working perfectly fine for Hrothgar for me.
I even had a couple of my own friends in my FC test them too and they were fine. Not sure what could be causing your issue.
I've tried to completely reinstall my game and only have this mod installed and it's still not showing up, so I am not sure. Alas.
