Think you could adapt your Lyse hair upscale in here for the player hair? The textures aren't one to one, so it would take some work upscaling and adding the new part and re-scaling the existing texture, but I think it could be done. Just not by someone with as little skill as myself.
whoops, forgot to reply here! i'll add a penumbra version for npc works too after endwalker comes out for sure. i'm currently remaking most of the upscales to be as good as my face works ones, so that will take me a while (plus i'll have to update the mod anyway once EW comes out, so i'd rather do everything at once ^v^)
I dealt with this myself just now, having things uncheck and check themselves whenever I tried to enable anything. Ended up importing it all into TexTools and then exporting it again, starting over, and finally putting that into Penumbra. Old post, but in case anyone else ran into this.

Also, what's the best way to get in contact with Zestea, the creator of the hair upscales in your screenshots? I noticed that their mod actually missed a hairstyle, the one used by Jandelaine, the aesthetician.
Thank you, I enjoy using your mod in my game! I did notice that similar to other mods I have used in the past this one I always get the lighter facial hair on Urianger. Is there a fix for this? Apologies I am not very familiar with modding ffxiv haha. :)
Not gonna lie just switched from the defined stuff from other modders and much prefer your mods and suggested stuff. The fact that they even go out of the way to talk bad on your mods blows me away. For anyone else that is curious just give this mod a shot and you will see a huge improvement. Really looking forward to more upscales with the expansion characters and hopefully more stuff in the future. (not sure if its possible but would be amazing to get all outfits upscaled as well, especially for the npcs since they are more static and you see them alot in cutscenes)
nexusmods should display the update date on the top right of the files, but if that doesn't work for some reason don't worry, i always archive old files so what you see is always the latest version of the mod!
So, for whenever you get around to updating this, if you touch ETC files for upscales make SURE you re-do the MATs on F Elezen face 206. One of them got changed up in a big way for some cutscene trickery.

Edit: I just noticed that Sofie updated the NPC Defined mod page to include a paragraph that basically boils down to "my mod better use mine". I don't know why you're choosing to attack this mod, especially since you claim you "got the whole FFXIV modding scene up and running in full." which makes me think you'd instead support other mod authors instead of going after them simply because their mod covers what you've already done. Choice is good, and the artistic direction of "NPC works" is clearly different from your "NPC Defined". Seriously, a poor look.
couldn't agree more! honestly, it's all done in very poor taste. it's one thing to genuinely give constructive feedback and another to give backhanded compliments and literally claim that it's all because of a re-shade. poor taste, indeed.
Not to necro this, but after having to reinstall all my mods, I've fully ditched using Sofie's mods because of that lol. Like, how tacky is that? Both are different and go for different looks.
