This mod look for some specific characters in the .exe file and then modifies them for the 4GB functionality. If what it finds at these specific locations does not match what is expected, then it is assumed that the .exe file has been modified or updated in some way and the method this mod uses to implement the 4GB patch will not work correctly. As mentioned in the comment, you can download a 4GB patching program from NTCore and run it instead. This will do a proper job of installing the 4GB patch independent of whatever changes were made to the game's .exe file.
Hello, I have been trying to use your mod with FF13Fix but for some reason even with the files in the new folder, when going down the questions, it says the files are not there and I have to download them even though they are. I don't know what I am doing wrong.
Where am I supposed to put the folder? I have it in: D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\FINAL FANTASY XIII\FF13Fix.(I have also put it in D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\FINAL FANTASY XIII\white_data\prog\win\bin\FF13Fix last night but that didn't work either)
I have all the files from the FF13fix in there: d3d9.dll, FF13Fix, the read me file and licenses.
Is there more I need to download? There is the source code zip folder. Do I need all of that as well? Please help. I really want to use your mod to make this work and also to use the FF13 HD mod as well.
If you look in your mod directory, you should see two subdirectories (folder). One is called SupportFiles, the other is called FF13Fix. The downloaded ff13fix files should be unpacked and placed in your mod's FF13Fix\ subdirectory. The mod will move them to the appropriate game directory when run. They should not be placed in your FINAL FANTATASY XIII game folder.
So if I use this to download ff13fix at the same time, do I still need to add the files to the game directory? I just checked where ff13fix said to put the files it wants in, and they aren't there after installing it with this. Edit: Nevermind, I was checking the wrong files. Sorry for the confusion.
just wondering, do your hd mods and 4gb patch work with xbox gamepass version of ff13? i just got it on pc on xbox for 8$ and im curious now. im fine running the game without them, as even without the mods the graphical fidelity is better than on the ps3 but i hope these work!
Sadly, in their present form, no. Microsoft combined game archives so the files are no longer where the mods expect them. In addition, the main game archive is larger than the 2GB limit the current tools can handle.

For reference, a version of the HD Project was created for the Gamepass version (PC, not XBox), but that was only successfully used on one person's PC. As there is no way to test or support this version, it wasn't published.
Thank you, my good sir. However, I'm not using a steam version. What Should I do exactly ? The auto .bat doesn't seems to find anything, and it looks like I can't type the correct path (C/games/FFXIII or something like that)
I also tried to start the two .exe, FFXIII-4GB and FFXIIIGetPath : The first one does absolutely nothing, and the second tell me that " Invalid command line Arguments. This program is not mean to be run independently"

This installer is meant specifically for the Steam version and will most likely not work, or work incorrectly on any other version. I would recommend you install the ff13fix and the 4gb patch directly and not use this mod. You can find instructions on the ff13fix github site. https://github.com/rebtd7/FF13Fix
hai i try this mod but then i got error it say fail to start a game from steam...but when i go to fxxiiimg it work but in english sub i want the game to be in japanese sub... any idea how to fix it?
