Whichever one is run last sets the model. So if the HD Project was last then that is the model used. However, you can run the body sculpting mod as often as you like so you can overwrite the HD Project one easily.
Perfect, so all I would do is if I want the body sculpting is install your HD Project mod then re-run body sculpting with Nova Chrysalia? Thanks for all your explanations, I'm new to modding FF in general.
These mods aren't really designed for Nova. If you want to use them with Nova, then you pretty much have to install them all first, then there is a "translation script" available on the Nova discord you could use to unpack the modified game files into something Nova can use.
The Nova ones will only work when Nova is used to run the game in "unpacked mode". The HD Project mod is NOT compatible with Nova in unpacked mode unless you follow the translation script for unpacking. However the HD Models+ mod with the Body Sculpting mod is compatible with the HD Project, but you will only be able to run the game from Steam or Nova in "packed mode", which precludes using Nova mods.
Update: It's kind of an either or proposition. Nova was created after these mods so they are not inherently compatible. But Surihia (on the discord) did make a script to allow you to unpack modified game files so you could then apply Nova mods. However you wouldn't be able to install any other of my non-Nova ones after the unpacking process.
Probably not. Each garb would have to be done individually (although similar garbs would take less time after the first one - Midnight Mauve & Crimson Bloom for example). But still, it's more work then I want to put in at this time.
You helped me with the your similar mod for Final Fantasy XIII-2 so I'm hoping you can help me out one more time. I downloaded and unzipped the HD Models+ mod, then I download and unzipped this mod into the previous mod's folder. It didn't ask to overwrite anything tho so I hope that's normal. After running the .bat file that came with the HD Models+ mod, it didn't ask me about sizes for anyone, nor did it ask for Fang's armor colors. It only asked if I wanted to go with all characters or just individual characters (I selected all) and then if I wanted Original, Standard or Ultimate (I chose Ultimate since that was what was mentioned in the Description page here). It then asked about Lightning's hair and I chose the HQ version. That's it. Nothing about body sizes from 1-9 or color options for Fang.
Did I miss something? The Description page only mentions running the .bat file from the HD Models+ mod if I understood everything correctly.
In order to use the body sculpting options, you have to pick the individual character (in this case only Vanille, Fang, or Lightning). Once you pick a single character, the body sculpting option should then appear for that character.
Oh, okay. Sorry, that should have been self-explanatory if "All" wasn't showing it. My bad.
Could you tell me what the newly modified files would be to copy over to my Steam Deck? I assume that since I originally selected "All", that the Snow, Hope and Sazh models would still be modified to their HD versions even if I later ran the .bat file and selected each individual character 1 by 1 (well just Fang, Vanille and Lightning)? If so, I'd like to attempt copying the files over for all 6 characters. Would you happen to know what the files are for each modified character?
Again, I'm super appreciative for you going way out of your way to help me out. Especially when this mod is 3 years old and it wasn't intended to be used on Steam Decks.
Thank you so very much! Just like with your Final Fantasy 13-2 mod, replacing those 2 files worked flawlessly on my Steam Deck! Amazing job with both mods! I greatly appreciate all of your help!
it keeps telling me that Data/XIII_Sculpting.bin is missing but it absolutely, most definitely is NOT. i have verified multiple times myself that the file is in the correct place.
A couple questions... Have you successfully run some of the other HD Models? This will tell me if the overall process works. Also, are you choosing the body sculpting option through the main HD models interface selecting the character then the body sculpting option? (rather than trying to run the sculpting .bat file directly).

English:
white_data\sys\white_scru.win32.bin
white_data\sys\filelist_scru.win32.bin
Japanese:
white_data\sys\white_scrc.win32.bin
white_data\sys\filelist_scrc.win32.bin
These files contain the models for all 6 of the main characters (along with a bunch of other stuff).
