dang seeing mod requires other mods, i gots ff-xii 2 but not lightning returns dang hopped for higher models in base game but at least the textures can be improved still:D
I am bit confused if I got the instructions correct. I installed the HD Project first, then I downloaded this mod, extracted its file on where I extracted the HD Project and it aske me to overwrite a few files ( is this correct )? Then I ran the install.bat and went on with my choices and saw the message model replaced. I assume I did the right steps?
Do I need to keep the extracted folder or are they now merged into the game?
This might be an unusal question, but would it be possible for you to add a picture of Yaag Rosch over Snow to your gallery? I would love to try this mod myself, but since I currently can't afford a decent pc, I sadly can't test this right now and I would be very interested to see what he looks like.
Rerun the mod, select the character you want to swap and a list of choices will appear on what is available for that character. Rerun the mod anytime you want to change the model.
hi ty for making this. is it possible to share some basic overwrite files we can use with the steamdeck version at our own risk. just a basic hd model of all the chars. bat files are a hassle to use on the deck/linux
thank you. apologies in advance if the process its quite complicated than just overwriting some files. thnk you
You can use these mods on the Steam Deck, but you would have to install them on a PC first, then copy the modified game files over to the Steam Deck. The PC you use doesn't actually need to be able to play the game, you are just using it to create the modded game files.
In your mod directory there should also be a file called HDProject.log. This file contains more detailed information about the installation, including possibly more information about the specific error encountered that is causing the Access Denied. Take a look at it.
This may not be a critical error. The part where you are seeing access denied, the installer is writing a temporary file of the return messages from the ff13tool.exe which loads the modified file into the game archive. It checks this temporary file for proper installation, then deletes it. It then immediately writes a new copy of it for the next file. Windows file system may not be keeping up with the write/delete process. If the "access denied" is coming from the temporary file, then I don't think it's impacting the installation. Is your mod directory on a solid state drive, a flash drive or a traditional hard drive?
Wonder why Nova Crysalia version of this mod does not allow to swap models for those used in cinematic cutscenes just like the regular one for packed version of the game does.
