would it be possible to get this without the license boar changes?  I currently use my own custom license boards.

    thanks

edit: I see it's possible with the various options already... also, how come this mod includes textures? as I notice conflicts with enhanced clothing.

Can't get to work. Had no issues with any other mods.
Installation goes fine in Vortex and Draklab, tried both several times, tried redownloading the VBF to have a clean file, but it doesn't do any changes in game. Zodiac spear still don't spawn 100%.

Draklab should work. But don't use Draklab.
So what I didn't realize last time I updated was that it won't work in Vortex because I have multiple 7z files within the 7z, so I would need to add one of those 'installation' things As I said below, I might overcome my laziness and fix it one of these days, but for now you can make it work very easily -- simply uncompress the master 7z file, then drag and drop the version of the mod you want into Vortex. So for the standard one you drag 'Less BS 1.06.7z. into Vortex and that should work, provided you have the other needed mods (the external file loader and the LUA loader, specifically).

(and if you MUSt use Draklab, same thing, you need to add the individual 7z file, not the whole thing)

Again, I've tried Draklab. It doesn't work. Yes, I've of course extracted the collection and used the correct file, not the collection It doesn't work in Draklab, it doesn't work in Vortex, and yes I'm using the English version and AGAIN ALL OTHER MODS WORK, just not this.
And again, I've tried a completely literally new install of the game. It does not work. It claims to install just fine when trying both Vortex and Draklab, but it does not work.
I have no idea why it won't work, I've done everything correctly and all other mods works just fine.
If you want, I'll let you access my PC with remote access with TeamViewer or something to check it out yourself.

I dunno what to tell you. It worked for the person below, and it works for me last I checked. Are you sure you don't have any conflicting mods installed at the same time?

I LITERALLY just told you, I tried a completely new install, with a clean, unmodified, untouched, completely newly download VBF.
Doesn't work here. I've given up on this and is using a different mod, which worked.

This worked fine with Vortex after extracting the "Less BS 1.06.7z" file and dropping it into the mod list.

Thanks for making this. Any chance you could add a feature to this mod or make a new mod which fixes the RNG damage of axes? I know there are a couple mods out there that do fix this but they're all complete overhaul mods that force me to add a bunch of changes to the game just because they come packaged with the one change I actually want.

Either way thanks for creating this!

I'll shoult out once again to the fantastic scrapt set called The Insurgent's Toolkit which would allow you to change this yourself. You change the formula for whatever weapons you want in Section 13.

I don't really consider the random damage of axes/hammers/bombs to be 'BS' as it were, rather just a risk/reward for using them.

Would it be possible to do a version with only the removal of the Esper restrictions and nothing else? If it wouldn't be too much trouble, like the chest only file.

Thanks for making all this by the way, it's appreciated.

I feel like there should be a mod for it already, but that's something you could do reletively easily yourself with the Toolkit https://www.nexusmods.com/finalfantasy12/mods/160 --to quote the author: "You would have to change the restriction attribute from "3:esper" to "0:none" IIRC. That way an esper can be purchased by any party member."

I looked and sadly couldn't find it, at least not on Nexus. Thanks for the help though, I'll give it a whirl. A little annoying it straight up frees all espers including the ones you haven't even fought yet, but can always enforce that by just not buying the nodes till after fighting them.

Honestly I don't mind your other changes all that much that though. A lot of them are pretty good anyway ;D just sometimes it's nice to be able to tweak just one thing instead of doing a wide array of sweeping changes to a bunch of different things.

Thanks, works in vortex if you extract the manual download file and choose one of them to drag & drop into vortex (This could be automated like other mods that automatically let you choose options, but if you try and add the main archive of archives it confuses vortex). If using Vortex, ensure external file loader mod/extension is installed and it'll auto-detect the file contents such as "Less BS 1.06 + No Esper Restriction.7z". You can ignore any conflicts for "mod.ini", it doesn't matter which mod overwrites that file since it has no impact on the game itself (just info file for the older mod manager(s) etc.)

Love the mod. Would you consider adding the features from Improved Decoy?
    https://www.nexusmods.com/finalfantasy12/mods/148

I'm trying to do it myself but I think modding this game is above me.

Eh I don't really consider Decoy to be a problem.

But for doing it yourself it shouldn't be too hard, check out The Insurgent's Toolkit https://www.nexusmods.com/finalfantasy12/mods/160

Not sure what's going on there. Are you using Vortex or Draklab? Either way all of the included files should have a 'match'.
What exactly is your process? Make sure you're using the correct base folder - remember that the mod should have a singular custom folder name that holds the files, and the folder structure below it must match exactly with how it is in the VBF.
If you still think something is wrong, make sure you have NO mods installed, and then verify it on Steam -- do note this might redownload the whole VBF (~30GB) but you're guarenteed to start from a base point.
If you do that and it still doesn't work, I'm going to need more info to help (or feel free to ask on the Discord linked in the readme.

Loved your mod, but could you make a version without the LP board changes? I'm afraid to use it in my save with a custom LP board that will probably be broken by it.

You can just replace my board files with yours, it'll work fine.
If you're using Vortex just load the other mod second.
