Yeah, seconding the complaint about it being hard to tell which eye color is the "canon" eye color, as Vortex's little preview pic is a bit too small to really tell. I had to resort to using FF12 DS's sprite sheets to figure out what eye color they're supposed to have, but those were too low-res so I had to go deeper and excavate the Windows Magnifier from the depths of my computer to get a better look at the preview pics to match. It's probably best that I directly used the in-game eyes as references though, seems like every official artist that ever did any art tied to FF12 can't seem to agree on eye colors other than Fran (red).
Might be too late to fix since I don't think too many people play TZA anymore, let alone mod it, but if it was up to me I'd zoom all the preview pics in the installer in a bit more, even if it means clipping the hair out of the frame a little.
I do have screenshots here that show the originals, but as far as "canon" I have not been able to find any definitive sources that list what they are supposed to be. And most of the originals just kind of look like grey/blue/brown with the exception of Fran who is clearly red.
The way you set this up is really annoying. All I want is better textures. Yet I have to now manually select the correct eye color for every single character because you don't tell me which color is the normal one. It's so f*#@ing annoying dude why would you not denote the vanilla eye colors?
You're joking, right? The "Vanilla (Unchanged)" option is the default selected in the installer, and it has the character portrait right there in which their eyes are visible.
Ungrateful, you know this Modder didnt have to make it public for anyone to use so before you open your entitled mouth up when you are frustrated due to your own stupidity, stop and think.
As a colourblind person I have little to no idea what their original eye colours are, so picking an enhanced version without changing their colour is pot luck. If anyone could mention/highlight which are the original colours, that would be EXTREMELY helpful
I understand this person :( I have this problem too - it is hard to determine what color is their natural one :( It would be awesome to mark one, like: Character - Blue Eyes [Natural color]. P.S. I don't use Vortex. I manually installed File Loader and use it this way. So someone mentioned here - I don't know which color is set by default P.P.S. Temporal walk-around is to use internet and search for their colors. But wiki says that half of the party has Blue eyes (strange)
"The "Vanilla (Unchanged)" option is the default selected in the installer" being used to defend it is super funny to me because "unchanged" actually MEANS unchanged, the mod doesn't do anything if that's selected, and the preview pictures are too zoomed out and too small to really tell what color their eyes are supposed to be, especially since the OG textures were pretty blurry. Actually makes me wonder how many people downloaded this mod and assumed "(unchanged)" meant the mod would keep their original eye colors rather than disabling the mod like it does.
Thank you for your work! The most part I like is the hair. Vanilla hair looks like thick spaghetti.
I use manual install. Could you please mark the original color of the character's eyes in the folder names? Like "Character - Blue Eyes [Natural Color]" or to short "Character - Blue Eyes [N]"
I deleted the mod and the white outline wasn't there anymore, so I assumed it was a problem with this mod specifically. I later had a problem with some of my mods and decided to just delete them all and reinstall everything, and I decided to try this mod again. This time, the white outline wasn't there. Weird.
You can see the same white outline around Fran's helmet in your screenshots for your "Chainmail Armor" mod though, so it doesn't seem to have been simply a one-off freak accident. I don't think it would have been a problem with that mod though, as I never downloaded Fran's chainmail from that mod, only Basch's (which seems to be working without issue currently, though I'd like to note that Basch's stomach area looks kind of off, almost like it's somewhat concave).
Glad you like it! You could always extract the files from the zip and inject them into the VBF manually, but I would definitely recommend using Vortex.
Hi there, Skopin. I got FFXII installed in another SSD drive and I'm trying to install your mod through Vortex, but even though Vortex itself says the mod is enabled, there are no changes in-game :(
What I already tried: => Uninstalling everything (Vortex, all mods, the game itself, all Vortex's files in AppData and Program Files) => Reinstalling those
mmm...apparently, the deploy manager is handling the files incorrectly when it's installed on another SSD. I've switched back to C:\ and it worked as expected.
Hello! I'm planning on using this and your Enhanced Clothing mod together. Just wanted to ask, will my savefile be corrupted if I play on two different PC's switching back and forth with the help of Steam cloud with one PC having the mods and other unmodded? I figured it won't since these are pretty lightweight mods that only affect textures but just wanted to make sure.

Welcome to the community! There shouldn't be any issues switching between PCs with my mods vs without. Like you said, they only affect the textures, so there would be no impact on your saves.
